We're working on some forum updates at the moment. Please note that this may result in temporary periods of inaccessibility to the forums, weird errors, broken emoticons, and other mishaps.

The update is taking longer than expected. Please bear with us whilst we continue the work, and we apologise about the recent spam attacks. In the mean time, we've implemented some temporary anti-spam measures which appear to have helped reduce the overall level of spam.

We've managed to force an update through on the server, but we're still working on the bells and whistles. The forum themes and emoticons are a working progress.

The emoticons and forum themes are now up and running, and full forum service should be returned to all users.

Unfortunately, we could not save any avatars that were previously saved to the server; all the avatar images have been lost. In future, we recommend that you upload your avatar to a free offsite image hoster, such as , and link to the file instead. Note that offsite images must still meet the forum requirements, which state that avatar images must be no more than 150x200 pixels AND less than 100kb to prevent thread distortion. Images that exceed the requirements may be deleted without notice by the admin.

Also note that we have had two additional forum themes for a long time. They are poorly-used, although this probably because people don't know about them. If you wish to change your forum theme, you can do this via User Control Panel -> Board Preferences. Change the "My Board Style" Setting to one of the available themes. The default is called BlackDiamond, but we also have Acidtech and Subsilver2.

*Note that if you have used Acidtech before, this theme has now been updated. The side columns have been removed so forum posts now take up the entire width of a page.
