Hi all,
I've been floating around the forums a fair bit now just not an active poster (I think you can count my posts level on one hand). A few of you have my msn. I came back and found the a huge msn coversation which i apparently missed. Sorry about that chaps.
Anyway I'm digressing; easter is vast approaching and as such all my Uni chums will be buggering off home; which will mean lots of free time as I'm on placement this year; lota of weekends free without a hangover. Well I'm a computer Science student; on a placement working for Nationwide atm as a software developer.
Ok skills I have:
.Net development(c#)
Java
Analytical and Design
Lots of project managment type skills. I have to write lots of reports *sigh* and do lots of cross departmental liasing.
Can work a photocopier damn well...
Skills I dont have:
Can't do any of that arty farty graphical stuff. No talent or patients for it.
Anyways if I can help you guys in anyway and solve my spare time issues(yes i do have a girl friend) then I shall forever be in your debt.
Oh final thought will this run on a Mac? If not its not a problem
Jonny aka Loki

Hey there, Loki.
It sounds like the best use for you would be on the programming side of the game.
Get in contact with Jigalypuff, let him know what skills you have, and what programs you have experience with.
I <think> the original game (Gavins) was based on .net, and he was certainly developing it to be a multi-platform release.
Since he's apparently fallen off the face of the Planet though, none of that counts anymore.
I don't know if Jig is going to make the game multi-platform or not, or if it is .net based. Programming just isn't my thing.
Anyways, I digress as usual. Get in contact with him, and tell him the stuff I mentioned. He might have a job for you, he might not. Even if he doesn't though, he'll keep you in mind. You never know what skills may be needed from time to time.

the thing i found most interesting, is that .Net isnt multiplatform...I know this from using at work. Its a microshaft only deal.
Oh A6 uses directx 9 so thats windows only. Thats cool i just need to get my laptop sorted out
Oh have we got a testing team sorted out yet?

I've been made a beta tester, so I assume so.
Jig will probably contact you if he wants you to be one.
If it was the other way round, he would be bombarded by requests...

Tester? Nah I wanna help develop. My laptop will be ok to dev but not to test. Its a bit on the old side now. Going to buy A6
I can't use my lovely mac for testing which is a shame.

Well like Jig said, if you know how to program with the A6 engine, then let him know and he'll find something for you to do.
And I was replying to your question in my last post. I understood that you wanted to help make the game.

No probs.
I always try to explain myself in full, which is why my posts are usually considerably longer than most other peoples'. It's understandable if you skimmed my posts.

I've been having a PM discussion with aaron for the last week. I've got 15 PM's from him in my inbox at the moment. Don't worry, i've been pointing him in the right direction.
