It is hard to see just now but the model has two more pits. They are out the persective lines to the upper left of the one that has images. You will be seeing some of the other video walls. Ship specs and LCARS is a great idea for these walls. Thanks,

Kenneth, I do not know if some images of the movies we are allowed. A request for authorization for this kind of images would be to consider, I think there are some issues in this regard have been set aside or avoided.

Well the new one is just temporary, right? Just to see how it would look with another video wall.

There is some difference from US to EU on this but just using the name Star Trek and the ST universe is using there property. We get to do all this because CBS Paramount is nice enough to not bother fans that are not making money on it. That is not charging or taking donation and just spending your own money. The actors seen were paid by CBS Paramount and CBS Paramount owns that image and the characters.

the same goes with the art used on the shows and all other stuff. So it's the same if we just use the name, or if we use everything we can find(I vote for option two)

Slim gives some explanation:
It is titled Ekuraas (Ee-coo-raas). If you will notice the perspective lines even connect properly to the Romulan/Founders scene on the left. It is important that both scenes work separately, but not to the point where it is a cut scene. Here are two versions in color comp form to play with. I gave you two different looks. Which you choose is your call. Ekuraas- Stellar Night-Now both color comps I did not worry about the ships or the stellar giant, but more on positive and negative spaces so you can see the depth and make every out. Here I selected the Giant in Light Cer. Blue and Lilac, subtle light sand browns and a spring green to separate foreground, middle, and background. Focusing on the Founder's base using various shades of blues and grays will give a barren deep night sinister look. Everything is clear and pops out with subtle browns and oranges for the Founder's link, that blends into the scene on the left. Here I went with simple grays, cool grays, lime greens and the standard founder orange and brown. I kept the Planet white to see each of the fragments...but it should be in various effects of the light blues, lilacs and gray blues I mentioned. You can pop the visual scene with more darker cerulean blues and violets. I would not do the Jem Hadar ships in that illuminating magenta if you choose the Stellar night, but have it more in line with the color scheme and note the Romulan bug is red and yellow. I will attach a closer look for you. Ekuraas-Normal Day view-I also provided you a normal view of the scene with the gas giant in various greens and purples. Using Yellows, and the Dominion Browns and Oranges, grays, Violets and Browns with the normal Jem Hadar fighter colors. Again separation is clean here. Now again keep in mind I was away so I have no reference to follow here for the ships. One thing to be careful here is that you separate the scenes, so it does not look like the Romulans are over seeing a Jem Hadar base even though they share the same perspective line. You can do that by mixing the two color scenes. Making one at night and the other day or have more darker colors in one that the other. Multiple of choices here. There are three rows of Jem Hadar silhouettes. I also have a Jem Hadar hatching on the upper right in white. Again this will be the most fun and the hardest to do, a lot going on, but very simple in composition and you can have a lot of fun with this one. Good luck

It should be noted that in the second image (yellow) the Founders took the same color to return to their gelatinous state. (See the pool color)

Here's what I've managed to do with the Federation diplo screen. This is mostly modelling of the background buildings - the main Federation building should be getting more detail, particularly on the right hand side, which is supposed to be a smooth and flowing structure from Slim's image. Also, I've not lit this or anything yet.

I take it the buildings on the top-left have anti-grav generators under them? Otherwise keep up the great work so far mate.

Heres a full res image of how the Dominion Diplomacy window is going. http://rapidshare.com/files/392849478/Dominion1HD.pngI added more Cables, changed the lighting slightly oh and added a WATER FOUNTAIN. Can't negotiate a new treaty without a nice water fountain. Next i'm going begin populating it with people. But i gotta study up on creating people and then clothing them ect

Did you get these people? I guess if you use people it is populating the image. If you use Dominion Jem Hadar it is Dominating the image?

There is also the guy I used as my Romulan Thug. He took a lot of work. He is a low poly model found online and attached below. I had to subdivide to get the count up. Then us sculpture and such to shape his feet, hands and head to be more anatomically correct. You get a jump start though because he is already UV mapped and rigged.
He is all one object so I had to split out the clothing as a new objects. I did that by highlighting the clothing areas in the mesh and exporting it as .3ds. When you import it back there is your new clothing object. You can set normal mapping on the material for a better fabric look.
(Traveller is the image I altered from the original to give a romulan look.)

I wanted to see if anyone has a suggestion about how to finish off the Federation Diplomacy background image. Here is the issue that Slim, Anti-Distinctlyminty and I have been dealing with. All the backgrounds we are making will fill a wide screen computer monitor at 2560 by 1600 (1.6 wide to every 1 high aspect ratio) monitor. That might be scaled down to say 800 x 600 by a lower resolution monitor but it will still be 1.6 wider than it is high. The layout from Slim for the Dominion diplomacy is higher than it is wide as seen below with a monitor rectangle in red set over it. Corny2x used a section of the layout. He reached above that seen in red outline by widening to scale the image to a computer monitor. You avoid having to fill in any dead space if you retained the full height of the image as seen here. (The image edge is the shape of a wide screen monitor.) Here is Slim’s layout for the Federation set inside a wide screen monitor. Now in the blue is what Anti-Distinctlyminty has built so far, outlined in blue, set next to Slim‘s image in a wide screen monitor. If we just take a reduced section of the layout, as Corny2 did, you lose the sense of the height of tall buildings in addition to elements like the Daedalus starship overhead. The stretching of the building sideways gives them a more squat look. The question is do we need to invent more skyline to fill the monitor using this layout? Or do we add in two dark buildings on each side to get more of the vertical feel of the original image by Slim? Do you have any other suggestions?

You could possibly put two Foreground Federation officers standing where the buildings are to reduce how much detail there needs to be behind them. Up by their heads will be just the tops of the buildings and sky. Place the officers with their backs to the camera and they won't need much detail either. Just hair and the back of their uniforms. I think it depends on the concept art for each one, mine is a more enclosed space as you can't see the sky so i can stretch it out without it being a pain but yours is a much more open piece and you're right you would loose the sense of the scope of the image. For your one it probably would be best to add some of your own things to the left and right to fill it out.

It might also be a computer view screen with tall window in the center showing the Federation Diplomatic mission. A user interface on each side would fill in the to the rest.
