We've had some problems in the last few weeks on the forums. An update failed and that broke our anti-spam filters, deleted all the avatars that were saved to the server instead of linked to via an off-site host, and it deleted all of the emoticons and rank images too. We've reuploaded the rank images and emoticons (I've actually added one or two more emoticons hehe) but the avatars are a complete loss; we can't get them back. The only reason we still have emoticons and rank images is because I backed those up on my computer. If you have your own backups, then you can upload them to the server again, but i'd strongly recommend you instead use an offsite host instead, such as Imageshack or Photobucket instead. My avatar is on Photobucket, which is why my avatar never fails. As for 19kb, that was a bug caused by the failed update. I've just increased it to 100kb.

This is still a WIP. What you see is the upper half of Klingon Espionage. I had to build four humanoid figures. That is two forms of the two agents. To get the transparency each model was in turn rendered and the image set as a partially transparent layer in GIMP. That image was then set as image texture on a plane that rest between the camera and the planet in the background. Work is ongoing.

It's looking excellent. I just suggest that you let me make bigger resolution gas giant texture, this one is too small for the image. I would also suggest that you remove the atmosphere of the giant, when you add a background it will look unnatural.

Ok, here is a large gas giant texture. It should produce better results in the image.

Thanks - very good. That higher resolution gas giant texture will look better. The atmosphere will get a Photoshop makeover to look right post rendering of the model. I know it does not look good in these WIP images. It takes a lot of work to get the right look on a detail like that so I am saving that work for the finished product. It will mean rendering different parts of the model to add as layers in GIMP so I can get the look.

Hey long time no see, how has everyone been ? I hope people are still working on this otherwise i've just wasted a few hours. I've finished my recruit training in the RAF and i'm now about half way though my trade training. So i've got a bit more free time.
My laptop now dies whenever i try to edit this thing. So adding hundreds of 3D guys was kinda out of the question so i brought out the GIMP and did some doodling. Let me know what you think.

Welcome back, we are OK, still working on the game and infact more work is getting done now, congratulations on completing training, sorry about the laptop deaths and I use GIMP all the time. When you feel it is good I will upload it to SharePoint so Mike and add it in. I looks good to me. Did you see the Klingon Intro?

Looks great. i would only suggest adding shadows to them. You could merge all that people into one layer and make all shadows in "one move".

Glad to be back. Oh and yes i did see the Klingon intro, loved it. I still remember the old romulan intro to BOTF 'Misdirection is the key to survival. Never attack what your enemy defends, never behave as your enemy expects and never reveal your true strength. If knowledge is power then to be unknown is to be unconquerable.'
Used to love watching those intros. Oh and most of those guys actually do have shadows but i had to put the res down so it'd upload. I'll try and touch up the shadows a bit to make them more apparant then it should be ready for upload.

Ok i've added some more shadow to it now, and thanks for the do it all at once tip. Very time saving.
Btw fun fact remember wheres wally, well now heres Find the Founder !!! There is exactly ONE founder in this image. Can you spot them ?
Oh and i find it hard to find that founder at full resolution and this is only 48% of that resolution, so i'll be impressed if anyone can find them. It looks like a pink dot in this image lol.

...Matress confused. Even when he zooms in on the full-sized image, he can't see anything standing between the four people that Bashir mentions, except maybe a strangely coloured smudge, although that might be the result of the migraine he had on Friday.
