Thanks. Now all it needs are 3D elements.

Do you have a better image of a Chalnoth Ship? Otherwise I kind of like the uncolored Chalnoth as they are. Bashir

I agree. The contrast of the photo background and the graphic novel line draw figures is eye popping. I would like to see the ship left in black and white as well. Then it would be a game ready image IMO. I can take a month or more to do one humanoid figure. We are not going to do that army anytime soon. Give the rest this treatmen and we are good to go.

I tried to color everything: But we will have to return and make the models for them later because this is not the look that game images need. Good thing is that we need "only" 11 models for this image. 9 Chalnoth (it can be one model in different positions), 1 Kaylar and one Chalnoth ship.

That sounds good to me. We can use them where there is an image needed in the game and in the next release. We can replace them later down the road. It will look better than 'image not found' until then.

I really like it! It's no secret that my attempt to do a 3D Cardassian female was one of the most tedious things ever. It is just as you say Kenneth. I have yet to work with "bones" in terms of posing the characters too. Bashir

I've put it in my copy of the images now, so future downloads will include it. I'll keep updating whenever new versions because available in the future. Good job mate.

Thanks, but I'm not satisfied with it. When I get the time I'll try to add some shadows and depth to the image.

Slim wants to pass on some information for the Chalna image.
"Chalna Piece-I understand its a work in progress. A few corrections...1. That is a Kaylar Helmet next to the forward general killed, not a large rock. 2. The back ground was altered. There are no mountains in my image. 3. Their are structures that have been taken out in the background, and 4. Wrong color scheme, not a sun, the circler is the fourth planet within the nebula or moon, and the nebula is not yellow. I gave the background information on Chalna."
Slim also pointed out that the sun for this planet is orange. That and the nebula gives the sky an orange coloration. In the background are structures of some kind and not mountains.

Here is some more background on Chalna: CHALNA- The system contains at least five planets, the fifth of which is known as Chalna, the home of the Chalnoth civilization. Located within a Nebula (Burgundy and Violet in color) . Chalna planets gravitational pull is massive and so is the Nebula...USS Stargazer visited it. Only a Starship Class Ship can orbit Chalna. The USS Poseidon launched a fatal shuttle craft mission on a separate occasion. Klingons (Bird of prey) visited the planet, with all hands lost. Chalna has an oxygen atmosphere. Has a nutrient mist, humid, vast jungles, and plenty of animal life. Only the males have the "disfigurement" to their faces. Their eyes allow them extensive night vision. Their females are humanoid, gorgeous and rare.. They wear white masks (like Phantom of the opera). To gaze upon a spouse female's face is a death sentence. All Chalna are savage and master hunters. Technology-Cloaking Armor-Diary of Star Trek, Star Trek Encyclopedia, The Book Hunters. Their Sun-Kaus Borealis is a class K orange giant located in the Alpha Quadrant of the galaxy, about 77 light-years from Earth. Kaus Borealis is its sun which rarely hits the Chalna planet. Think of the film Pitch Black. That picture I did is suppose to be night, a distant planet and a great nebula. The image is intended to be set in a dark landscape given the nature of the planet.

Here is a color comp of sorts showing what Slim had in mind for the background with more detail on the structures back there. The color markers he has at can not do it just right so do read the explanation. He is on the road but had time to do this much for us. Thanks Slim.
Slim writes:
"OK I thought I had clarified this, if not I do apologize. The pencils were light. Chalna's main cities are like an Exo skeleton design. I outlined to help see them better. The large gaseous balls represent an energy source. The gray light color are really black with Stars. Now Nebulas are not easy to do with markers. It is Burgundy, Purples and Darkness' space mixed. This has to be in place since it is their bio. It may not be clear in the scan, but you should have good separation. You do not have to follow the designs in the Nebula or flow, but it should be a Nebula none the less and night The orange is to indicate Chalna's Distant sun's color radiation. This is an option. The green is Chalan's nutrient mist which I have stated in their bio notes. Hopefully I have clarified the appearance of the background. What colors you use based on the Chalna Bio information. You can make the fourth planet which ever color you wish, or the mist whatever color you wish, or design the Nebula with whatever blends or red and purple you wish. Have it more purple, more burgundy...whatever. You can even take out the orange blending. I left the skyline clear to allow artistic impression based on the facts I provided.
Slim"

not assigned. - Possibly for some planet close to it's sun. For this one I must thank Kenneth, Besides the background planet and sun, everything else are images from China he posted here. Can you spot which ones? I'll get on the Chalna image next.

I am glad the China images were helpful. It looks like the sky color is closer to what Slim had in mind. Do you need help to draw in the structures in the background or the helmet on the ground?

Ooh Matress always loves new images! Don't feel under pressure to make stuff at the moment though V. Take all the time off that you need. I've added the Embassy image to my copy of the files, although we already had an embassy image, so i'll add the old image to my spares thread. As for the second image, I think it would be good as the Dreman Commodities Brokers image. The Dremans live on an unstable volcanic world with an orange atmosphere, so the orange colour of the sky in the image would fit it well. Again, we can always reuse the old image elsewhere. Don't forget i've got a list of structures that are in need of new images Here.

Agreed, it fits excellently with the known Dreman environment and image shown in TNG. I'll have to make a dilithium mine image that fits with it.

I will give the background buildings a go later today. Something for the small screen that does not take a month to do.

It is looking better. We did lose the green mist though. I will work on a helmet in a bit.

Excellent V! I've saved the images as .png's (They were in .jpg format) and added them to Sharepoint. I've also removed the structures from the needed images list and sent Dafedz a PM with these new images.
