This is good news. A lot of our best work takes place in PMs and emails and even phone calls. It is not seen here. Thanks for the update.

Hi guys! I had a few chats with Mike and he will be starting soon to code the songs because he's asked me for some adjustments on my songs.
Ok guys! Now for the serious work. I have made lots of songs already for the Themes and Encounters and Events, right? And thanks for your encouragements all the way. :bigthumb: :bigthumb:
I will have to re-adjust certain musics to go along with what he needs. We will be working together at creating some moods for the windows. Some could be softer some not.
I will create a new Folder in Music named "Experimental" with 2 Folders, for my "practices and tests". Some will be Wav and some others will be MIDI only. I will put my tests there and Mike will use them and tell me (or us) when it is ready to move to some other places. I cannot say more at this time because that's all I know.
Maybe I've said too much already. But I wished to share this much with you.
Also that I am looking for new equipment for my music.

I will tell you more later friends :winkthumb: !

I made a test song for Federation Map. In Music_ Experimental and test folder: Fed Map 02_56s_Gino Véziau.

I also made another one but still in MIDI format which I will transform later.

Well yes, that is very good piece of music. You do not need me to tell you that though. Now you have the direct line to god that I knew you would need. This all makes the wait for the next update that much harder to take.

My friend, it is always a pleasure to chat with you here and I'm happy that you put your comment on my songs, be it good or less, because being here and knowing that you are around makes me feel good and encourages me to go always further in my experience.
Even if I receive a different opinion from Mike or another person, I am delighted to be here and chat with you all. You are and will be good friends for a long time, If you are willing so.

I will still tell you what I do so that you can comment on it or simply listen to it at your leisure and if opinions differ, that's ok with me. I'm very open minded.
And I will still need you to transfer those songs that I can't upload on SharePoint.
Well yes,
looks like something is moving around here! More news to come later!

Good day friend!

Hi again Friends!
I got this one song that won't upload. I will need your help Kenneth_of_Borg please!

http://www.mediafire.com/?tzr2r1h5k6499st Fed Map 3m11_Gino Véziau

It's a bit long but I had a flash yesterday. You can still give me your opinion if you feel like so.
I think the volume is too high...not sure.
Thank you friend!

I put it in the Federation folder. That is a nice one. The volume seamed OK to me but Mike may want to regulate that in the game. Mike wanted longer for the map?

No. He said 2 minutes is more than enough.
It's me. I started to play and could not stop. . Maybe I will have to cut.
Sometimes I start something and continue on and on automatically. :romulan:
One time I did a song that lasted 30 minutes. Too nice, I could not stop!

It's just an opinion, but I would see this one in the Presentation screen.

Could you put a copy in Experimental folder please? I will send him the MIDI song also.
I have to wait for his answer to continue. Mike really knows what he wants!

I will change my old PC soon for a bigger one, more up to date with today's technology. I am shopping around.
I have a limited budget so I have to choose wisely.
Thank you my friend!
We will chat again soon!

Best of luck picking a new PC. If money is a big issue you cloud always look at vender's refurbished goods.

I uploaded a second copy to experimental.

Thanks Kenneth_of_Borg!
And thanks for the advice.
I don't usually buy by Internet but maybe there is some stores here in Montreal like Best Buy or else that I could check.
I have a medium budget (about $2000) for a good PC and a home music program to make my compositions.
I will shop around to see if I can buy all I need for the money I have.

I know that I could get a good computer for about half this money, but I don't know how much music programs and sounds costs, and if it will be compatible with what I want. I've been working with keyboards for so long that I never really thought of switching to a computer to play and record my songs, although I've seen my friend here use his big PC (The biggest Mac around, $20,000 plus music programs for more than $20,000, whew! that's a lot of dough!) and I thought I couldn't afford doing the same. So I never bothered shopping to check it out.
Now is the time, I guess! :cardassian: No Ferengiis around?

I have always thought of Best Buy as over priced. It will be harder to find a deal without shopping online these days. Here is a Link to refurbished Mac stuff. I take it a lot of movie and music stuff gravitates to Apple. Clearly you need to match the software you want to the system.

Thanks !
I guess you're right about Best Buy. I was thinking more in terms of refurbishing shops. There is a few not far from here.
I've looked at the Mac Pro they sell and it's still a bit too high for my budget range. And the Mini or iMac are not quite what I would choose. I did like the deals though but if I had a little more money, I would buy a Mac Pro. I have also to check on music programs and software for my needs. And saving more is not an option for now, I sucked every penny I could.

I'll let you know where I'm at when looking around. Maybe I will have no other choice than Internet.

Hi guys!
I've made a small Event in Experimental and tests. Event Tension 25s_Gino Véziau. It could maybe serve somewhere.
I'm still waiting for news so I don't quite know if I should make something else.

That is very evocative of just that. I would put it with encounters, bad. It would go well with the Crystalline Entity and the like.

Are you waiting on Mike?

Well, he wrote that he would notify me as he needs some specific songs of events.
Now I don't know if I should wait for him or continue on with the other windows. He noted to me that some songs could be different from what we thought. Since I don't quite know which one he mentioned and that I don't intend to disturb him too often, I guess I'll have to hold on to this much for the time being. I'll wait for a little time (doing some Random Events meanwhile maybe) and if I do not get any news until then, I will write to him to have him inform me again of what's next. I guess he must be very occupied with what I previously gave him (MIDI songs).

I'll keep you posted. Meanwhile, if we have a particular subject to discuss or to laugh at  so to say, I would gladly respond.
I haven't looked yet for my PC, I was busy practising a Retro show that we hope to present next April (2011).

We may indeed decide to change thing when we hear songs play ingame. That will be then. For now you could finish filling in the few major race windows songs.

We did much the same with the ship models. There is a preliminary set of models waiting for a combat engine. When we know how the engine will work we can make a better model set.

You are right. Maybe I should finish working everything out and see what's coming later. All in all, we've all done a great job in sorting everything out so I'll continue now and we'll see then when it is time. Thanks for your encouragement and kind advice.

Hello again guys!
Cardassian Science has been done in SharePoint. Cardassian Science_1m47_Gino Véziau

Big bottom and kind of Sand People mood. You can check it out.
Thank you!

What's left is Dominion Systems and Romulan Espionage. Am I right or did I forget something?

That is great mood music. It makes we want to assimilate the whole race.

That list sounds right. Mike can let us know what we missed.

You would use that music for the Borg too if they played as a major race it seems! That's a good sign.
Well it is, and not. Not that you would assimilate everyone, us included! :waaah:

I made some corrections on my list since you have classified some songs that I didn't remember I made. And I had some that were at the wrong place.
Thank you for all Kenneth_of_Borg!

Hi, vjeko1701 ! Nice to read from you. Thanks for your appreciation!
Did you listen to all the songs in the Federation yet? I think I made one or two since you were absent. I created a new folder called Experimental and tests where I'll put all the songs that I'm not sure of or all the MIDI that Mike may need.

Still two more to create before I do the Random Events.

See you later!

I'm happy you like them! I changed the moods of those last ones because Mike asked me to slow them a bit. As you all wrote, they still sound very good.

Sorry to keep you waiting. I had a contract to fulfil.
And now, here's another one. Dominion System_1m19_Gino Véziau

I kind of like this one. It's settled for the Dominion.
Ok! So, one now for the Romulan Espionage coming soon!
