anyway what about the emblems there? I find especially the ferengi and borg ones very interesting..

They are good very good, I can make signatures like the one at the bottom of this post, even banners like the one on my website, but I could never do the work like I have just seen

I will only be showing a few emblems, with a link or two to these topics. Should I create a gallery for these emblems on the star-trek-games site? Won't take that long, i can do a multi upload in the admin cms. Can you give me a location or a package of these files, Zeleni? Will sure be nice for people visiting the site and seeing the work for botf2.

I like their site logo. We should think about getting a decent logo for these forums as well.

All fantastic work by the way, but is there any chance, perhaps, that the Xepolite one could be swapped out for another race? The reason I ask is that the existing image of the Xepolite Trade Franchise is quite distinctive, and it would be cool if its logo matched their emblem.

I've wondered about that image for a while. It's a fantastic image, but it doesn't quite suit its purpose. It's more like a race emblem or a TV advert for the Trade Franchise (Imagine it as a still frame from an animated TV advert and you'll understand what I mean) rather than an image of the Frade Franchise itself. A better image might perhaps be a fleet of cargo ships, or a warehouse piled high with goods like the Dreman Commodities Brokers image, or perhaps something along the lines of the Gorn Replicator Net and Brekkian Trading Lanes but make it look like a map showing planets conducting trade with the Franchise, or you could even make an image along the lines of the Benzite Systems Analysts image, showing a futuristic city - but put giant billboards in there that display the Xepolite race emblem with some alien writing on top and perhaps some alien items that the billboards might be advertising.

All emblems here are old and obsolete, i have drawn new set of emblems, this time they are all canon as they can be. i think in new set is also xepolite emblem but i can draw this one above and replace the original if you wish. So far 80 emblems done ,once fished we can place them on minor race structures cause all of them are vector graphic so that should be easy to do.

As for the Xepolite issue, sure thing Moe, whatever you reckon. Although I do like the existing Xepolite Trade Franchise image, and I hope it can fit in somewhere. I just used it in this instance to serve as a corporate logo, instead of a graphical representation or structure. I thought as the Xepolites are kind of shadowy and sneaky by nature, a logo rather than the plain surface complex was more enigmatic. But if it doesnt belong maybe it can be used as a emblem for one of the other races?

The reasoning for my choices above was because the "structure" is a franchise. I was imagining it as the galactic advertising equivalent of Coca Cola or McDonalds or something. A galactic trade franchise would likely have their logo printed on every imaginable product in one way or another, like the B&N corporation from WALL-E.

...So maybe you're right, perhaps that wasn't the best idea for an image for a supposedly enigmatic race.
