Now that the basic elements are present I can start on the Cardassian video clips. This may not be the opening sequence but it gives you and idea where I am going. The Heideki should have a door in it's butt that the Orbital Batteries come out of. I will build that in. A small moon in the background would be nice a well. It should be slowed down a bit. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vXPnMB9T1b8

I looked at all three of your short videos. You've got some awesome stuff there. Really! Even sound effects.

I think the dumping of the Obrital Batteries should be set a little later in the sequence. Also these models are high poly so I can get a closer look in the first half of the sequence.

Great work Kenneth really! Also happy birthday Blaze. I am eagerly following this thread and its really great to see how the game is growing. I love the Romulan intro but the "little Romulan" looks a bit too Manga like or cartoonish for my taste. Not serious enough for a Romulan imo. I am not sure as how to "realistic" you can make him look. Did you guys ever think maybe about asking some amateur fan film actors to do some short scenes for the intros? Just an idea.

In my opinion, it takes more than skill, it takes equipment. I believe she looks good also .

You've got to appreciate the fact that Kenneth is self taught and does it for free. Is it Avatar level? Not quite. Give the guy enough time and it will be

I completely agree with you Captain! This is how I feel about it, and no cracks intended and I'm not overreacting. With time and experimentation, he will be able to equal, if not surpass some pros! Even without an actor at hand! I think we all dream of a Super game that has the quality of a movie, where heroes, situations or ships look as real as in reality, but alas, we're doing this at home with what we own and the leisure time we can use and I believe that, yeah, for a free game and the time we put in it, it rocks already. My personal opinion only.

I am not sure guys which part of my comment on the Romulan guy from the intro made you think i do not appreciate the effort the Kenneth put into this or any other dev into any other part of this game. I just thought the Forums and the fact that the game is currently in Alpha status are intended to involve the community/fans of the game in order to provide feedback, suggestions and of course criticism as well. I am not expecting any super game, super animations that look like Avatar, but in my opinion, it would make more sense at the moment to leave the Romulan out for instance instead of putting the one in the vid in. The style (and not the quality) of this animation simply looks too cartoonish for my taste. It has nothing to do with Kenneth's skills.

Now with the elements in place I can begin work on the core video for the Cardassian Intro. This is much of the central element. An efficient military knows that results matter. They are not held back by Federation rules of engagement. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qjk08TqTmfcOnce I clean up the DS9 Terok Nor clip it will go in front of this. There will be more fireworks after this as the ship takes damage.

This is great Kenneth! The more I see, the more I love it! Boy, how I'm eager to see the rest of it! And put on the effects... Could you add an escort to that ship? It'll make a nice blow! Just a suggestion, if you can...naturally!

I hope it will be fun. They look better on the bigger screen so I hope you will play Supremacy on a good size monitor. Here is a front-end on it. The back end is going to take a lot more work. Those explosions and smoke things are not easy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XnYfDSXEbHc

On my 20 inch it looks quite nice though. Opened full screen that is. Great job!

I actually agree with Iver. Though Kenneth did a great job, the female romulan doesn't look very ST-ish. Compare to the photos for the new feature. Regardless, good job.

I will leave her out of the beta but am still considering a female voice for the Romulan audio.
