I DID mention you need a .SOD converter for it..didn't I?

I have SOD plugin for Milkshape which opens Armada files if they are stock models but your star base isn t so.

Don t worry Kenneth, I m collecting canon models of minor ships so far I got 15 minor races filled. I m also collecting blueprints for the rest of the fleet. I think we should first complete the Empire ships for the game and then minor ships. There is no rush, we have plenty of time!

Kenneth, your ship is going to be what it really is!! The Bioship!

Trash good work there! :D

Those blueprints for the major and minor ships would be helpful. Is there a link or a thread we could maintain like the Shiplist?

Nice card mesh

For blueprints:

http://www.shipschematics.net/startrek/

For images and textures from show:

http://www.ex-astris-scientia.org/starship_database.htm

This should be on first page of thread

I hope this will help!

Looky here:
http://sectorgame.com/f2s/downloads.php ... gory&id=39

66 Star Trek models..most of the mhigh-quility ones and prolly more polies than we'd want.. But I bet there's a few more sname ones that we could use.

You need PCS1, PCS2 or Pof-to-cob cnverter for this.. Which I have ;)

Guys, as you may have read in my sig, i'm going on holiday for a week to Austria, specifically Salzberg, aka Sound of Music country. I haven't been around in about three days coz i've just been so damn busy lately as well. I haven't abandoned the project - I AM still here - in spirit, at least. :P

I haven't read the last four pages of thread (You guys have been busy, but somehow I don't think my posting leadership is at risk just yet :P) but I'll have a good read when I get back. I'm sure I will have a major update ready for you guys then.

I have read a few posts though, and the Monak IS the Hutet - i'll rename it in the update. It's nice to see the models are still coming thick and fast as well. Keep up the good work guys, and don't let the project collapse without my help and encouragement. :P

Have a good trip!

Question - Does the Dominion use asteroids for outposts?

Image

I found this low poly model of a Dominion base. It could become a nice high poly model but I need to know if it is valid as Dominion Outpost.

You'd have to make it specific to the system, ie one which has an asteroid belt in it, and also possibly apply to the dominion and Klingons as they are the two races which stand out and would have an asteroid outpost perhaps.

The Dominion built Ketracel White facilities on asteroids (DS9: "Behind the Lines"), as well as detention centers (DS9: "In Purgatory's Shadow", "By Inferno's Light"). I doubt they built outposts on asteroids, though. We could always use that model to make images of the Dominion Ketracel White structures. Nobody said it had to be on the planet surface ;).

Come to think of it that does bring up one idea....

In BOTF various planets allowed you to build specific beneficial buildings, which gave an increase to nergy or food etc.

The Dominion could have a special building for systems with asteroids in them.
I.E Ketracil White centre, increase officer growth or Dominion interment centre, increase morale slightly, who knows.......

Good idea. We can work it into the special structures.

(not this image but the idea in higher resolution)

Howdy... been away for some time now.

Just to let you know I'm still working on a couple of models. I also noticed that the Akira is not being made by anyone. I have made a (very) low poly version of it (600p aprox when trippled) just to test a few things. Is there anyone in charge of this ship?

It is so good to see you again.

That Akria would be great. We do not have a real Akira at this point. Inevitably there will be more than one person making the same model. We have just gone to multiple versions of the same ship. The dev for each game gets to chose what to use in the end. You could say no one is in charge or that everyone is in charge.

Designation: F HEAVY CRUISER III Akira Class

When the model is ready we can see about getting it loaded up to Sharepoint. There are other low poly ships there. Some are game ready and others are kept as an example or starting point to move to the higher poly versions.

The goal is not the total poly count but that the model looks good. If you can give the rounded edges a round look and still keep the poly count down that is fine.

We all know this is not the Akria. I have my reasons for keeping it online for now so please do not delete it again. Thanks for your cooperation.

You can see some of the background on this model in the readme fill that I reloaded to SharePoint.

The Romulan MEDICAL FRIGATE I appears at tech level III. I put this image in as a starting point. It needs some work.

The model is not uploaded as I have not confirmed permissions.

It is getting closer to the Akria thanks to some outside help.

Now it should be OK to remove those files.

I loaded that Nebula back in as the F HEAVY CRUISER II Nebula on SharePoint. Help yourself and make sure it is working.

This was built as a Federation ship. I am loading it in as the Dominion Battle Cruiser II with the intention that I, or someone else, can later re-texture it to Dominion colors.

I will also bash and retexture this into Dominion Battle Cruiser III

Image

Pending permission Colonyship II for the Dominion

Image

Pending permission I hope this could be upgraded or copied into a model we would use for a Cardassian outpost.

Image

Pending permission this could be textured to Romulan Colonyship I

Image

Texture and upgrade to Dominin Scout II

Image

Will retexture to the Dominion Colonyship I

Image

Pending permission I moved the prior Dominion Transport I up to Transport II and put this in for Transport I. It will keep the look of technical progress more consistent within and across races.

Image

I will try to transform this into Dominion Battleship I

I hope to have a chance to test it out soon. Thanks again for the plug-in. You are the best. :D

Work in the real world has kept me away from where I can test that --- At least for the time being. :?

Ship List Question:

Klingon Scout ships are listed as Scout I class 1, Scout II class 2 and Scout II class 3. Should it be Scout I, II and III or are there really two types of Scout II?

Reminds me of an alternate reality board game from the late 1960s. The Axis won WWII. You play the game as ether Japan or Germany when war breaks out in a fight over control of North America. Japan holds up to the Rocky Mountains from the west coast. Germany controls the east coast to the great plans. Now the great plans would be a good place for tank warfare.

In other news here is what we could turn into a Romulan Transport III
