I once helped the BotF project two years ago by writing music for it. Somebody probably still has the midi samples I sent in. But nowadays hehe after graduating college in graphic design, thats what I do best. For example your logo could use a freshening. I also do extensive web / interface design stuff right now so menus, screens, loads, etc I can help out with.
Also I have experience in identity and branding, marketing, etc.

I'm assuming that means you haven't got copies of the music yourself then?
I've kept all the music files that i've ever been sent, but none of them are .midi's. I was only made a moderator a few months ago so I wouldn't have been sent them anyway.
I currently have seven .mp3's that may or may not be used in the game.
...
If you want help with collaboration of ideas, speak to Silvercliff. He's in charge of the interfaces, but to my knowledge he's only working on the Federation interface at the moment.
If you guys could discuss colour schemes and so forth, you'll know what sort of thing we're looking for then.

More music is always good, so if you still have some, we'd love to have it. I've got a Yamaha MO-8 synth workstation, so I can make them sound real nice .

Cardassianmusic.mp3
ents3final.mp3
klingons.mp3
romulans.mp3
They were excellent, can't remember the name of the guy that did them. Does he still post on the board?

hey heres my new member name, anyway, cool, Dominion interface, but I haven't played BotF in a long time, where can I find an example of a standard interface and what specific items I need to include, etc. Also is it in 72 dpi and what resolution?
As for music, I have all teh midi files still although I would want to update them. Yeah my synths are ok so it would be nice if someone else could render them. I will email to anyone asking (and everyone who has already asked).

New name? So i'm assuming you were ericjames?
I wondered why you were <also> showing up as a guest...
Anyways, if you want to know info like that, speak to Silvercliff. Send him a PM. He'll be able to discuss the specifics with you.
Dafedz may also be able to help you. He's had a dabble with the screens, as we're still working out what extra info screens will be needed in the BOTF2 interface.
I imagine you'll need to add in lots of purple or dark blue to make it look good. As far as I know, we know next to nothing about their computer interfaces, so you culd probably have a lot of fun with it...
...
Could you send me a copy of the .midi's?
My email addy is grimmedbythereapernew@yahoo.co.uk
Thanks in advance!

From what I remember of Behind the Lines(DS9), they were pretty ugly. I could take some screencaps when I get home if you like, but I really don't think they showed enough to be useful.

I make up for it by spending too long making posts on the site.
I didn't know about the mail notifier...

don't know if this is up-to-date anymore (probably not but ) anyway eric if you're still up for the task and still have the time and will to do it, take a look at the bote general chat, we got some screenshots there in the "graphic artist wanted"-section from the races that are still on our to-do-list (Ferengi and Cardassians, RazorsEdge is up on the dominion-style but I think he sure could need some help resp. someone who shares this amount of work). Razor also has a description that he got from what menus we already got and what resolution is to be used. (It's all btw. in the bote data zip file, just have a look at the graphics->background and graphics->Other folder, there you see the already complete fed and romulan interfaces)
would be glad if you could help us a little here. You can of course take any time you need on that and get our full support (hope you don't think, wah support, I know already that means not that much rest assured it does on my part when it comes to doin the graphics at least ).
those UI can btw. easily be used by the other projects since the source photoshop or gimp file allows for easy rearranging the design elements and layers!

Ericjames wasn't a registered member of the forums - he was a guest poster (A feature that I believe was disabled when we suffered the spam attacks on the forums) so I doubt he actually spent any real time on the site. I seriously doubt that he is around anymore.
Still, he was good enough to leave an email address, so I have sent him an email to try and jog his memory.

davumaya is ericjames and he did concentrate on making music for us. Check the news section why he stopped doing it.
Emailing to remind him doing something was perhaps not the best idea since he just posted yesterday here about the lack of feedback lol
anyway if we could all forget what happened (or better not happened) and start over again, I'd appreciate that really!
so eric, if you wanna help us in doing the rest of the bote (and supremacy UI later on after adapting it) menus then do tell us. We really need and want your help so give it a go, please.

Dont think i heard any of this music. All i remember was awhile ago someone posted saying he would do some music and submitted a cardassian track. But it wasnt original it was from the trek game "the fallen" which was under copywrite so is unusable (jig still hasnt removed this from the downloads section).
Dont think this guy was him. But if someone can point me to what he produced then i will gladly have a listen and give feedback.
