Bask in the glory of hte NEW and completed Federation Starbase!!! sOME REMARKS 1. Borta D5 (Klingong) isn't mine... 2. Fed Outpost isn't textured yet. 3. Update the Starbase/Spacedock image 4. Vor'Cha is from Major Pain, alltough I created a indentical model..literary copied his allmost onto the last vertex. So we can use either version, alltough I guarantee you won't be able to find any difference

... Thanks for the updates Trashman. I'll get on with sorting out the mistakes and updates. Great model by the way. It always used to annoy me how the BOTF model never had the pylons. Glad that little mistake has now been fixed. 
... If anyone has any WIP model images, could you still upload them to sharepoint rather than using other sites? If we use free sites to host some of the files there is a greater risk of losing them. We have a folder that is just for WIP images here: (Or The Birth of the Federation 2 Consortium -> Shared Documents -> Shiplist Images if you want to find it manually) Just put all of the images in that one folder, there's no need to set them out into individual folders as they are only temporary images until the model is complete. 
*Edit - hmm...I just encountered a snag in the form of the Fed Starbase. We already had an image from Zeleni for the Fed Starbase. Which one shall we use...? |

...But the models look so similar. Unless the Starbase 2 was made bigger or had some other unique features, it would look a little strange. ...But the B'rel is the same model...meh. It is done.

Well, mine is 3800 polys (I?m surprised myself at hte low polycount...) and uses 2 textures.. The pic of Zeleni's Starbase is to osmal lto see any real details so I dont' know how good it is. Whichever looks more detailed or meaner should be SB2. b.t.w. - here's another nice mesh I got my hands on(and I uploaded it to sharepoint) EDIT - some of hte pics are rather small and...bad looking...coudl it be the .png format? |

Trashman, I add the 270 x 225 png for your Achilles to image library of SharePoint. I put up a rar file of the files for this ship on SharePoint. The Federation Shipyard II looks great. I see the png image in the image library is not set at the 270 x 225 size for use as a selection button in the games. Would it be OK with you if I redo that one?
For now I have asigned one Vor'Cha as K ATTACK CRUISER I V1 and the other as K ATTACK CRUISER I V2. I am currently trying to add in both type and class names for ships on SharePoint. If you see any error here please fix them. MOE, we have a Borg Sphere and Tactical Cube on SharePoint so you can update them to the shiplist. If you have a Starbases from both Zeleni and Trashman just call one (apply the qualification) V1 and V2 (for version 1 and 2) to the name Starbase on SharePoint. They can both be on SharePoint for the devs to chose from. |

We have 3 Vor'Cha like ships... The REAL Vor'Cha (TNG one), the Vorcha Mk2 (the one that looks kinda like a D7 cruiser) and my "Deathblade".. hehehe Nice selection

I put the Firehawk as the "R Warhawk (Firehawk) Valdore Class" to match up on the shiplist's Warhawk ship type. I hope this works. |

Kenneth, I noticed the Tactical Cube but I never posted the picture for a reason. It may be due to the quality of the image, but your "Tactical Cube" is not the Cube that I intended for the list. The Tactical Cube is the one that appeared in Voyager - the Armoured one. Standard Cube Tactical Cube See the difference? |

MOE: I have completed adding in the class name after the type name for ships on SharePoint. There are a number of updates needed to the shiplist. With both names showing this should be easier to compare side by side, window to window. I see about the cubes. I will make my cube a version of the standard cube. |

You all forgot to PICK! EDIT - Call me crazy, but the Norrexan (Valdore) is a cruiser something between the Akira and Intrepid. It's not even large. It can't be the biggest and meanest Romulan warship..the standard Warbirs is TWICE it's size.. And this (On sharepoint under Vorcha Mark 2): We could use it as a K'Tinga sucessor...or upgrade.. |

Well..here's a thought...the ship currently labeled as BATTLEHAWK III actually looks more like a buffed up warbird. Maby it and the Norexxan should switch places? On a side note - I'm going over the fleetyards now...I'm not sure about the Fed Fleetyards tough - the central structure looks...strange..like it doens't fit..most fed stations we've seen are sounds, have a saucer-like section..I dunno if Ishould change that.. MEh..I'll go work on a the Klingon, Reomulan and Cardassian fleetyards till I figure that one out... |
