So we have to make all these ships for the minor races. What about a job of ship spotter? We could build a collection of images of the "known" minor race ships from ST episodes and films. There must be fans with ST DVDs that have the minor races ships. Am I forgetting something or could we use Star Trek.com to find the episode for the alien and then the ship on DVD? I took this distorted photo using the capture fram function on my PCs DVD player software. (screen print will not work.) The image is pasted in say windows paint and saved to photobucket or the like. Add in any other online photos of the minor race ships and we have a reference library of images. What is wrong with this idea?

nada, except I don't have the ST DVDs .

screen captures can also be taken by virtualdub ( that program allows you to go framewise through the film/dvd; vlc player can do that too).

Thanks Zeleni, That Neutral Zone data base takes care of most of the races.

There are still some missing though. I could find two just among the names starting with A that are on our minor race ship list but not in the Neutral Zone data.

A ship spotter could find the rest of the ships for us.

I updated the Sticky: WANT TO HELP BUILD THE GAMES?
to include Ship Spotters. There is still plenty of work to do no majors. If we start now it may help fill in the gaps of our knowledge of the minor ships.
