Since you lost parts that are part of Slim's original concept, here is something a little like what you did, but with the parts. I have nothing to urge. Sorry the Export on my program is so bad. Captain

Very good. I think you have it now. The only thing I might still suggest is stronger two or three point lighting. This model has a slightly yellow white strong spot lamp from above, a weak orange hemi lamp from blew and a stronger red lamp from the right. There is also a slight mist add into the render. Your darker skin on the ship looks better than my model. I would make the "guns" on the side smaller. That is just me. Very good work.

Very good ideas. Improved it a lot. Thanks Kenneth, you know lighting! I have one other thought. How big does everyone imagine this ship is? I wonder if it would give it scale if I put bright windows on the hull. If there were hundreds of tiny windows, it would make it appear massive. :twistedlaugh:

Now I see our ship. Slim envisions the ship as massive. I would reduce the gun size to help with that and say the windows are so small you do not see them from way over here. Even if you do put them on they will not be seen at 270 x 225.

I would not lighten it up myself. It looks better dark. Go light on the fog. It does not need much.

Sorry I missed this post Zeleni. I am not sure how different the ship can be rendered for the Chalnoth picture since it is viewed from the underside. Do you just mean some minor rotation left and right? Bashir

Here is a new image from Slim. I listed the Ferengi structures we need at this point below. If there are no other Ferengi images needed I would guess it was the Ferengi Commerce Authority.

Ferengi Commerce Authority
Training facility for Ferengi Economic spies.
We need an image to replace the existing BOTF one.

Ferengi Franchise Office
An office building that monitors and boosts system trade.
We need an image to replace the existing BOTF one.

Ferengi Tower of Commerce
A skyscraper where all Ferengi trade operations are managed. Massively boosts trade income.
We need an image to replace the existing BOTF one.

Ferengi Gaming Commission
Entertainment, refreshment, and gambling venues.
We need an image to replace the existing BOTF one.

This is what Slim says about the image:
NOTES: In creating this scene I wanted greed to be the central theme to it. Here one Ferengi is about to get audited by the Master Franchise Operator for all Ferengi affairs in a high tech golden metallic office. Sort of a tax audit and a very happy mean Ferengi without a care in the world. I kept to two characters and as you can see it has both a high tech feel to it and well as a crisp profitable circular flow.
The box on the right is merely a placement where I would like to see a transparent digital counter with Ferengi Massive profits escalating upward, like our national debt.
It should not have a box around it. It is more for affect.
I would go with a golden room, with shining gold platinum all over the place and the Ferengi in Purple and Green.

The Ferengi Commerce Authority increases Economic Sabotage and Economic security strength. In the description, it does this by sending out spies. But as Iceman stated, they're a minor race, so they won't have spies. In that respect, this might be a wasted image. :doh:

We could always keep it for a Ferengi-as-an-Empire mod though.

BTW Iceman, the Ferengi Gaming Commision that Kenneth listed above is one of the structures that isn't in the current version of the TechObjectDatabase file.

AFAICT, Ferengi buildings still have the BotF images, so how is that a wasted image?

Can't recall what the Gaming Commission's bonuses are, but if they're more credits income, I don't see a point in having 3 structures (2 of them from trade routes) doing so? A Morale bonus might be fit for this structure I guess.

I mean a wasted image in the sense of Intel - as in having it as an intel screen background. I sort of misread the purpose behind it. As a structure image, it isn't wasted, although at the reduced resolution it will need to eventually shrunk to, it may lose a lot definition.

The Gaming Commission was a +1 Morale Empire-Wide structure. No credits from it.
