Well, back home, I still don't have internet in my apartment so I'll only be able to "report" once or twice a week.

Just to tell you guys. I'm feeling the urge to play BOTF (2) now. Can't wait till it's out from pre-alpha.
Any chance to get some paceholders here, maybe even a remote target for an update release?

We're..., or maybe I should say I am just in the dark as you. On the off chance that artwork is holding up the project, I've been cranking out stuff as fast as I can. I really miss this game. I guess I should go back and play the old one. It has been a while. vjeko1701 wrote: Well yeah, but in 5-6 years I hope you'll have a good chief engineer. We know we will. Good voyage to ya!

This darn "school" thing and getting involved in yet ANOTHER Star Trek forum have absorbed my time. mstrobel wrote: Supremacy is a rather complex piece of software. I may be going to university for Computer Science, so that should be nice and stuff.... I've also been learning about C++ and C# (why are they so complicated? WHY??!?) in preparation for perhaps being able to do something about this rather large and rather complex piece of software (I took a look at the DLLs in an editor once... how frightening). ANYWHO! So I should be far more regular now that everything is beginning to die down, and also starting February I will have oodles upon oodles of free time... more C# for me (or perl, or java, or ruby, or assembler (well, perhaps not quite that low-level), or whatever it takes to start programming for this). Until then: RANDOM EVENTS FOR ME! I do rather miss writing them. Speaking of which, how are they coming along Matress?

So it's a new year (actually it has been for 1 month now ). What are the plans for this year? How is the project doing and most importantly our dev team. As one of your loyal fans, I still wish to see this project enter Alpha, hopefully pretty soon. Was there any luck recruiting new people. In the past 6 months I have learned Fortran (because I had to in school). I doubt that's of any use, but if there is a sight remote chance it is, I'd like to help. (I really can't be bothered to learn anything now, my school aint doing too good. )

Best of luck with your studies Zweistein000. We are all plugging away and hoping for a new release though I cannot say when.

ya unfortunately the only programming i know is for facility automation and controls. ladder logic, rockwell hmi, so forth. and even those skills are starting to get rusty. but if you did need someone to program a valve to open or a pump to start im your man.

Thanks for the offer solas and glad to have your input. We are willing to wait for someone to learn a new skill. That is especially true if you already have programing skills.

Big report: A Croatian programmer has just contacted me wanting to join the project. He would need all the code/ui/art we did but would start his own code from scratch in high-level rapid development language - Python.

Great news - I would ask if blender's game engine could be used for a combat engine. Python is run when blender loads.

Those Croatians. We need to go easy on the guy and not ask for every new feature under the sun. If we could just take what we have and turn it into an actual working game...

A quick look at the blender game engine and there is a way to do multiplayer. We will see.
