Here's a random! I saw an episode of Voyager yestarday.
They met a group of beings and called them the Think Tank.
They were very smart, had advanced technology and went around helping people for a ceurtain compensation. (with Voyager, they wanted Neelix's recepie, Chakotay's figurine and 7of9, well it was all actualy a scam to get 7 to join their group...)

yeah.. jason alexander was playing in that one (george from seinfeld for you ignorant ones lol) good idea

what about the ship swalllower in vger... i dunno if you wanna keep its ability to make you see things but its a cool idea...

i assume the evil caretaker is in it ? (the 2nd one)
and ninjas.. there ought to be alot of ninjas in space....

what about the space station that was in "enterprise" they repaired it and kidnapped mayweather (the black dood)...u can have that.. a station that repairs and refuels.. in exchange for half a dozen of officers ??? just an idea

I think the idea about the 'Think Tank' has been mentioned before (Possibly in another thread) but it was never discussed. Even if they aren't considered as a random, it might be a good idea to have some randoms where some race tries to pull a scam on you.

By Vger, do you mean the Motion Picture, or are you just being lazy and abbreviating? (In which case, the abbreiviation for Voyager is VGR)

In the case of the Motion Picture, I think the ships/planets were destroyed, and a copy was madeinside Vger.

In the case of your inaccurate laziness, the living nebula is in.

For the ninja's...I think we could add nunchuks as a weapon

And I think the Enterprise station has again been mentioed before (Can't think where though)

Of course, all that may have been another pigment of my imagination, in which case, i'll go paint that flutterby...

im surprised this hasnt come up... but.. youve all heard about how earth might 1 day go thru another ice age ? well why not in the game. .. if your planets can suddenly become barren (in birth1).. why not your planets go through an ice age (termporary or permament).. if temporary.. it can come out of the ice age as another type of planet ?.. better or worse

Ragez0r, you don't have to bother looking for people at the moment. On sunday, me or iwulff or someone else will just invite everyone into one big conversation. When that happens, you'll get a list of people who you can add as contacts. You can sort it out then.

That's how I ended up with all the guys in my contact list. I just entered the conversation that iwulff had set up. i got the screen then, and i've been chatting since! (On MSN, i'm not making a reference to the length of my posts...i've just done a nice long one about DNA on the race pics thread, if anyone is interested...)

If the race species 8472 are in (either diplomatic or random, technically they should be the major race as in the ST universe the federation now has basic diplomacy with them. But then again 8472 are a TAD too powerful to be a major race so they might stay random) However if they are in can we give them a differnt name as well as let's face it calling them by the name what their orignal foes gave them (ie the borg) isn't very diplomatic to say the least. And voyager of all people should had a chance to know their actual names considering they had a meeting/cease fire deal with them.

I think it has already been decided that they will be in only as a random.

Of course, people will likely make a module for them, once the game is released, so don't count this as final.

You have a good point, anyway. It's possible that the name 8472 gives itself is simply unpronouncable by species from our dimension, or that 8472 doesn't actually have a name!

They are from another dimension, after all!
