Hi, while I was wasting my time on Facebook I wondered if there is a page (Group) for the BOTF2. Searching a bit revealed a Group dedicated to the first game. So, why not create one for BOTF2? (this site's admins I mean ) It would mainly serve as advertisement of the game to people and especially non-Trekkies The only thing needed is to upload new photos and videos now and then, as they come available, and news - announcements (of updates) etc, ie 5 minutes work every 1~2 weeks. The reason for writing this is that I think the game lacks a bit on promotion... What do you think?

lacks a bit of promotion.. you saw my signature did you well even more promotion for a game that actually isn't really to be called "legally flawless" is a bit reaching I think . Nevertheless, nice idea of course. A developer and open-source programmer ring would of course be better for the game since it needs programmers right now, not so much new general attention (although a certain percentage surely will be programmers amongst them too but you know, the legal aspects...).

Actually I didn't notice your signature and I haven't been on Gamespot for a loooong time However, I still believe that the more promotion the better, so if the admins are too busy to do it and it's OK with them and anybody else, I would like to set it up and run it as a Fan's Group of the game. I'll do my best and try to keep it as much uptodate as possible. Just let me know if you all agree. Cheers PS That's one of the few areas I may contribute to the game, unless you have a job for a Mathematica and Fortran programmer!

Well the page on Facebook is more or less up and running. Anyone is invited to join and most importantly to invite others (friends/relatives/collegues etc) Since, attracting programmers to the project seems to be a desiteratum, I think that this will help (even programmers have a social life right? ) Cheers

Ok I'll rephrase, even programmers have a virtual social life!

Quote: A developer and open-source programmer ring would of course be better for the game since it needs programmers right now, not so much new general attention... I've added "recruitment posts" in about a dozen of the largest programming groups in there (>600 people each). Someone will get interested in the project, what the hell? If noone shows up, say in 2 weeks time, I swear I'll make a sandwich out of my Star Trek dvds ! Cheers
