WOW! Just fricking WOW!

It has been forever (late 06 early 07) since I have checked on the progress of supremacy and BotE. I am really impressed with the progress.

I am hosting a lan 5 man (well 4 man 1 girl) lan party at my house and in discussing what games to be on the list with my brother BOTF came up. I mentioned we should give these two a try. I was testing it out a bit last night. Did not get much into it before bed time came.

I wanted to come on here with some constructive criticism but to be honest I got so into the gameplay that I was not really paying much attention. We experienced some unexpected handler errors during multiplayer when my brother (not hosting) tried chat or colonizing other planets. Oh by the way my brother was sorely dissapointed that the Ferengi were not a playable race. If you saw his ears you would understand LOL.

For the most part the game feels really pollished and obviously attentive to detail even for an alpha/beta. It feels like a major production game. I especially appreciate that not only are you making a cloned version based on modern tech but that you are improving gameplay and adding features as well.

I am eager to start reporting bugs. Is there a logging or debuging function that would make it easier for you to track and fix bugs?

Once again bravo and keep it up we all appreciate what is being done here.

Hey Rimsky, welcome back!

If you've got any bug reports, constructive criticisms, ideas, anything to do with the game, then please post about them in the Supremacy Pre-release Download Thread. I know that thread looks a bit scary at 50+ pages, but it's 50+ pages coz that's where we keep everything.

Alternatively, you could make a new thread, but most people know to look in the download thread now for the latests posts and info on the game.

Our actual bug report and development site is actually completely separate to the forums. We ask people to post here, then we transfer the new/legitimate ones to that site. It avoids having a million reports of the same thing that way. That's another reason why we ask people to keep their posts to the download thread to make it easier to find any new info.

Tell your friend not to be too disappointed with the Ferengi - they might not be an Empire, but they will be one of the strongest of the minor races, and will have a considerable shiplist and a lot of special buildings compared to the other minors. Membering them will give you a major economic boost...keeping them as members will be hard though.

Another thing you might want to know is that i'm personally working on a major game content update - such as new minor races, new buildings, new ships etc etc. I'll be releasing the buildings and races update first, and the ships update later. Keep an eye open for it. I'll be posting about it on the news section of the forum portal and in the download thread.

I stopped counting how often you said that.
You should put this in your sig or something. ;)
