Hey all, I'm trying to run Supremacy on Windows Vista. I purchased my computer in mid-June of this year, so it's still fairly new, and as up-to-date as possible. I DO have the prereq framework for Supremacy. However, I'm having a problem. For some reason, I will go to load the game, and set it up to start, then click to begin the game. I'll proceed to the next screen (the pretty one with the nebula-background), and will never get past the screen. I'll sit at my comp waiting for 5 minutes, sometimes even 10 minutes for it to load- no joy. Help?

Hmm that's a new problem on me. Supremacy is actually built on Vista technologies - if anything, it should be more stable on Vista than XP. I'll give Mike a nudge about your problem and see what he says.

For the time being though, could you try doing something for me? Load up the game, but leave it on the menu screen for 5 minutes. Every time you load up the game, it checks your game files against those held on the update server. If there are any differences, it will then notify you. The checking process can take several minutes however, especially if your version of the game is particularly old or modded. If the update screen appear, let it update and see if that makes a difference. If nothing happens, (And the menu screen hasn't stopped responding or anything like that) then either you've got the latest version, or there's something stopping the updater communicating with the game server - and that *might* be why the game isn't loading. Anyways, i'll contact Mike and see what he says.

Perhaps you have a software firewall installed that is blocking the game from loading?
