I know that right now we cant use the intel or even adjust the meter. Does anyone know the full benifits of the untel when the game is in full swing? Besides the basic intel of the enemy.

Sometime in the past Mike did say something about his plans for that. It will not work in the same way as in BOTF. Other than that I would have to wade through the old post to find it. By the time he really does code it planes will likely change.

Mike does have plans for the intel system - it will definitely be completely different to how it worked in BOTF. He has asked me not to discuss the plans in public though, because he wants to finalise those plans first. He doesn't want me talking about stuff that might not actually make it into the game. :P

Trust me though, his plans sound like a positive overhaul and replacement of the BOTF system. It will also be more realistic...at least, in a Federation sense it will. I'm not going to give any more hints than that. :mischief:
