Does anyone know when we will be able to see the working of the ground forces in your system for now it just says none.

I believe that defence forces are a low-priority fix for Mike because they won't have any real use until the AI is ready. Since that won't be for a year, it's going to be after that before the defence forces are sorted.

Obviously I could be wrong about this, but Mike hasn't said anything to me to indicate otherwise. His current priorities are bug fixes, intel/diplomacy, and the new colony management screen.

If the combat system is just a comparison of values, the AI is not that relevant, and shouldn't really be too hard to implement a preliminary draft. Pop generates a combat value, Transport ships generate another, compare.
I'm not saying this is a desirable system, but so far that's all I've heard about it. I'm sure there'll be more to it, again I'm talking a preliminary version.

So it will be a year + before the AI?

Yes jszrom, unfortunately it will, unless Mike gets some help or his boss decides to give him unlimited free time...with pay. :P

To bad mike couldnt get outside funding, to work on his projects. Although those usually come with some unwanted change.
