Hey there,

i'm new to the forums, I too was a BOTF player, great game, can't believe they never made a sequel! I just downloaded Supremecy and I'm really impressed. Only been playing for about 5 minutes and am surprised how you've created such an awesome game!

I was wondering how you funded it all as I see no donations screen on the website, which I was surprised at. But nevertheless, great job and I'm looking forward to playing!

Welcome to the forums Nick_UK. The game is still pre Alpha so
there is a lot yet to add in. Things like combat are still pending.
We do not take donation due to our status as a fan game. If
there was money to be made in any way it would be illegal for
us to use the Star Trek content.

Hey Nick, welcome to the forums! :)

Thanks for the kind words. As Kenneth said, there are a lot of game features that are missing or incomplete, so the game isn't nearly as complete as many people seem to think it is. We're a fan-based project and all work is done completely by volunteers, and everyone is free to join in or leave at any time. Anyone that makes content that is actually used in the game is recorded in the credits though as a thankyou and acknowledgement of their hard work. So if you have any skills that you think might be of use to the project, please feel free to have a look at the jobs list and let us know if there is anything you'd like to help with or learn about. :)

Just a quick question, I know this is a work in progress, but just wondering when you think you'll have the game in most parts completed? Tough question I know as various people are working on it, just that I am looking forward to playing it, but don't want to start until it's finished..

The rate of progress depends on when Mike will have time to spend working on the code. When he gets free time and if we find someone willing to help with coding projects it could move quickly. There will not be any progress to an update until that happens. For now we are adding content like 2D images, 3D models, voice acting and whatever else we can think of.

One of my favourite parts of the Intel section on BOTF was the fact that you could steal ships in the beginning, well until all the ship mods came along and you could build Romulan Warbirds when playing as the Federation. Is this going to be included again?

Also, in ship combat can ships be boarded/captured if you have the tactical advantage? Would love that option too, but realise there may be a lot of work involved in that...

I honestly don't know if Mike plans to include ship stealing or not. It really depends on how broad he makes the intel system.

As for capturing ships during combat, this is highly unlikely to make it (But not impossible) due to the limitations of the combat engine. We'll just have to wait and see. If you really want it though, send a PM to CdrWolfe and ask/beg him as hes the guy that is making the combat system.
