Or I thought as a metallic standard material for the construction of vessels, so capable of deflecting or interfering with certain types of scans and energy beams, so capable to protect the ship with a armor, a multi use metallic material that can be found on all types of planets. We have the dilithium for propulsion, deuterium for fuel, raw materials (water,silicon,etc..)

What you want is Raw Materials, just not called Raw Materials - something like Duranium. It'd make more sense than raw materials, but. It can be modded though, just edit one of the text files in the configurations folder.

I discussed the Raw Materials issue with starfleet on MSN last night. I explained that we intend Raw Materials to simply mean "everything you need to build a starship but condensed into a single resource".

...Although when you think about it, that single resource should be Hydrogen/Deuterium thanks to Replicators...
