The idea of having created an outpost for each minor race is a great idea. Maybe some minor races could benefit equally from their respective Starbases (if course is based on series):

If minor races can build stations, they will need a transport ship in order to build it. So by adding this one structure, we will actually need TWO models, as well as all of the stats and information that you would expect. Whilst it would be great if we could just give stations to every race, we will need to go through it on a case-by-case basis. And we don't know for sure yet whether Mike will program the AI to allow them to build bases in the first place.

...But if we can get through those hurdles, these races will likely get their bases one day.

I have to correct Matress about this one,we already had conversation on this subject and it is decided that all minor races with expansion ratio will have outposts, transports and colony ships but bad news is that all minor races will have generic outposts, transport and colony ships. There is too much minor races and such undertakeing would be too hard even for proffesional game studio.

I was thinking in the longer term. Just because we give them generic models now doesn't mean we can't replace them at a (much) later date. But even then it would still need to be on a case-by-case basis due to the level of work involved.

I will leave it up to Mike to decide if he wants to use the variety of different colonyship and transport models on file for the minor races. A variety of outposts to chose from will have to wait.

It is important to know that certain minor races possess transport as ships. i think that according to the idea of Matress, these transport would be able themselves to build outposts. Not all the races cannot benefit from an outpost with regard to these transport but if when the race minors become members of our empire, according to the logic, the transport which we make on their planets insure these constructions.

Once they become members, you can only build your empire's stuff, including in "their" system(s) - except for the special structure(s) that is. Their ships and whatever else are not buildable anymore.

In the DCER's BOTF Ultimate editor, according the mods, there is a function to build the ships of the minor races once they became members of our empire choosen.

botf is something else then supremacy, supremacy is stand alone game and we have no connections with botf mods in other words what applies there it's insignificant here.
