Thanks mate. A big part of this will be the texturing. So far it is following the Doug Drexler model pretty closely.

Yes, I have no doubts about that!
But I believe it would be a nice action to see also, in a still position. Not that I am a maniac of destruction, but I like to see some action images also, like a ship exploding, crashing ships with particles and pieces flying everywhere, people dying in space from afar (not blood and guts) and things like that. To me it demonstrates the beauty and the ugliness, and the horrors of war at the same time. Or even, a stranded ship or structure, scraped and scratched by weapons, like in the old Freelancer game.
Who knows, it could come in useful one day! And why not?... A ship cemetery? An ancient space field of war? A space dump?
I'm guessing that I 'm not the only one who would like to see that on a screen...

I believe that not every ship turns to dust when they are shot at.

How about that? To my humble opinion, that's art also...

Good idea for the Dominion Intro Video. It makes a point about the Dominion way.

I might have some time to help with that if you want.

Yes, I believe so. Don't they leave chaos behind them to non-believers? I see destroyed ships also slowly spinning and moving in space, along with scraps of hulls pieces, consoles, chairs, whatsoever torn equipment floating around. That's what happens to races who do not obey to their rules.

OBEDIENCE IS LIFE!

The only thing needed is a general hull plating texture for a more metallic look. All in all an amazing model.

Yes! I am still getting comfortable with "work paths" in Photoshop. This ship will have to be textured using circular "Work Paths." There is an "Aztec" panel pattern That has to be applied to the saucer, an angled pattern to the engines, and a row / columns pattern to the back hull. Oh, and a lot more to change and improve on the model itself.

It is very nice. Space might give you a harsher light but keep up the good work.

I was practicing for my OPR exam and I made some sort of a ship...it's not finished but it might be interesting.

It does look like a minor race ship from the trek universe. Very good.

Thanks guys...I'll try to texture it. My problem is that this is modeled in solidworks and I don't know if iexporting in u3D format will work. And ultimate unwrap 3D is refusing to work on win7

Very well done!

To my point of view, it looks fragile but at the same time, race-y.. Like "Yeah I break easily...if you can catch me!" Like that nasty fly that keeps on buzzing in my ears all day!

Keep on, vjeko! Real good!

I believe you can do anything successfully, by the looks of those! If I could draw like that, I wouldn't be worried at all. :winkthumb:

They do look nice. What is the file extension for that?

Blender is free and has tools for UV mapping as well as the model, animation and compositing.

Solidworks features "feature based modeling" and the extention is :sldprt but I can aslo save it as .u3d or universal 3D. I have blender but mapping in it is a pain in the...ultimate unwrap 3d is way better (just need to find u3d plugin) but it refuses to work on win 7...I''l have to map the models on my old pc.

I've refined the constitution and made the ambassador class...btw I got 5 from the test (the best grade xD)
