Not to be an ass... but it has been 3 years since the last update came out and I am sincerely worried that this project twill go on for such a length it will become boring to you guys and never get completed. It kicks ass and all, but in order to get more fans you will need to make more regular updates, starting with at least 1 update every year.
I would also like to know when do you guys plan to release the current update. This game was planned to go alpha past october.

It has been a long time and I understand your frustration. I will let Mike guess about when he will finish up the latest update. Rest assured that work is progressing at a redoubled pace. We were working at a slow pace but it is up from very very slow. We are working in our free time after our real jobs. While you wait would you like to work on the project?

As Kenneth said, in the past few months we have been redoubling our efforts and shifting our development strategy in an effort to get the project out of development limbo and back on track. The project made little progress in 2010, and we spent a lot of time rethinking features. Many changes were decided, which means lots of work to finish for the next update. We are working as quickly as we can given that we all have our own full-time careers. Personally, I work 12 hours a day, which as you can imagine leaves only weekends to develop for Supremacy. We would like very much to release more frequent updates. For various reasons, the next update will require significantly more work and testing to bring to release, so it will be a while yet. I can't make any promises as to when the next update will be ready, but it will definitely be this year, and hopefully around late summer or early fall. Subsequent updates should come more often after that. In the interim, I will try to post more teasers and screenshots to show that work is indeed being done. Here's one for you now: Attachment:

How can I help: C++/C# - I know 1/2 line I'm just a retarded when I comes to C++/C# (tried to learn both, but I just cant comprehend what the am I doing). Photoshop - Never seen it, even from a distance 3D - I know how to draw squares.... and that's it Play testing... Seems stupid because you guys can do that yourselves (not that I wouldn't help, given the chance ) other: I know how to import new ships into SFC3, I have changed the default units on one map in Dark Reign, I tried to edit BZ2 (failed miserably ), I changed the fire rate of torpedoes in Armada 2 Fleet ops mod . What I really understand is how to do complex trigers and spells in Warcraft 3 Editor in GUI.

You could find people that can do those things and invite them to take a look.

Indeed, or do what Kenneth did and learn something new. Kenneth knew nothing about 3D modelling before he got involved with this project, and now he's modelling ships and making intro videos. But helping us recruit talent could give you something to do until the next update, and who knows, you could end up helping the project out immensely.

I didn't know how to do 3D modeling before I did this shuttle. Just kiddin around. When it comes to 3D you never stop learning. I started at it Fall 2009. This is the back of the shuttle Goddard where I finally got the door right. Not easy.

I can write and look things up in the star wars wiki.
I know it's not much but if you look at BotF there were pages of descriptions that helped immerse the player into the universe.
I can also make s*** up pretty well too, which is handy when you need to come up with a name or a culture or what not and have no starting point.

Hey guys. I know this question has been asked a lot, and that you can't answer for certain. But can you, at this point, give any predictions on when the next update will be finished. Is there possibility that we'll be able to play it before the new year? I would really like to play this game

I think the venerable Mr. Strobel is planning on some vacation time for just such a purpose. So we should all get together and send him gifts of dine in meals. Mike, what's your favorite?

I'm taking the week of Thanksgiving off, but I'm also going to visit my family, so I can only spend half of it working on Supremacy. But I also plan to take either the last two weeks of December, or the last week of December and the first week of January. No need to send me anything--I order in for most of my meals anyway .
