My first full run through and I have conquered nearly every major system and people flock to my membership like candy. Is it suppose to be this easy? We really do need to get a simple combat system going in order to make it seam playable.

Even it there was a combat system, wouldn't it require some sort of AI, rudimentary or otherwise? Or else you end up in a battle and get to blow away hoards of starships without fear of retaliation. To my knowledge the other Empires won't build anything anyway, for the same reason. Unless you were talking strictly about bombing and or subjugation, in which case, disregard my post. ^_^' |

There is no option to bombard systems in the game yet. There is no combat system either and no AI - so the game is easy because you're not actually playing against anyone!  The combat system is being done by CdrWolfe, who said he will start working on it again sometime soon now that he's got some free time, and Mike said he will add the bombard system option as part of a future update. The AI will be added as part of a future update as well, but that's much, much further down the line as it is likely to be the single most complex bit of programming that Mike will have to write. |
