I did a minor upgrade to the images in the manual to include a few of Zeleni's new race pictures and other altered images. Still have to do the French one too. Wishin we had more game development to look at. CB

I didn't see this till just now. Thanks for the revisions. I've done most of them. On the removing of Officers everywhere. Is this something you know is happening in the next version? CB

Yes, officers are being removed from the game. Ships will still have crews, but this will be more used as an internal figure to help calculate research gained from scanning systems and aliens etc. Mike has already removed the few references to them that were in the game, and i've removed the structures that gave personnel, although my version of the files causes the game to freeze for unknown reasons at the moment. (We've checked the xml coding and there's nothing wrong)

The Intel system is going to be revamped too with trainable officers that have their own "biographies" and "personalities". Players will be able to name them and give them training in specific areas, then unleash them on the Galaxy. This likely won't be in the next version of the game, but we've been planning it for a while.

Aye Yi Captain(s). Out comes the mention of the officers, although I'll wait till there is a new version without it. Right now the manual explains what people see in the existing program. I can add a line in red font that says it will be leaving though. Wow, I don't know how Mike is going to get this all done. The forum has come alive with so many new ideas etc. It is overwhelming me. Stunned Captain Bashir BTW I just saw Dafedz wrench with pips icon in the forums. Looks good!
