Just to let you know, I worked a bit more on the canon map - mainly the extended universe map.
Among other things I shifted the Takaran system to the Beta Quadrant (as the Takaran Sector in VOY was placed there), put the Moropa and Lissepians within Romulan/Cardassian space to put at least one minor race within their respective borders. Other changes are additional systems mainly in breen, klingon, romulan and unclaimed space.
