I don't know if this is really the place for this, but the building editor doesn't change the building.data file when I save my changes. When the game starts up, no changes are made. Also, if I open the .data file itself in a text editor, I can see that the values are unchanged. I have vista 64-bit and have already checked to make sure nothing is read-only and that everything runs as an administrator. Any help would be appreciated, as I like to balance games to my own tastes whenever I can.

EDIT: Oh yeah, I am running the Alpha 5.1 english version

Regards,
greybuscat

I had the same problem when trying to change certain things

so I copied the the file to the desktop and made the changes, deleted the original file and brought in the new file

think that works (haven't tested it enough to know)

Thanks, I'll give that a shot. It's weird cause the editor itself remembers the changes, and even after downloading a 'fresh' editor, the changes were still there in the editor. I just don't want to have to edit the code to make the changes as that is rather tedious. Anyway, I'll give your fix a shot.

And it worked. Very queer. Anyway, thanks. Now I can make the races a little more unique. Can't wait for this game to be finished.

lol . . . good

took three frustrating hours to figure that wierd trick . . .

good to know it works with other things if I want to make to other changes

and there should be a next update soon (95 % done and you can play as the k-race); from their goals, they wanted it done by the new year - so here's to hoping

really weird. Never happened to me but I also do not have Vista 64bit. I'll have SirP have a look at it. Btw. we were having a short pause over the new year but aside from some bug-fixing and final play-testing, it's done.
