Have you correctly installed .Net 3.5 as per instructions, most errors which arise striaight off the bat seem to be related with either .Net not being installed or installed incorrectly.

.Net 3.5 isn't enough Wolfe; people MUST have .Net 3.5 Service Pack 1 Beta. venomtanker, you can get that update from Here, although since I don't know precisely what the error messages mean, I can't say for sure that this will fix your problem. 99.9% of problems with the latest release are due to people not reading and following the download instructions, however, so this probably is the cause. Download and install that update, but if that doesn't fix your problem let us know.

Hi folks!
First i have to say you did a famous job making this game... I love it!
Here comes my probleme:
Everytime, when one of my ships passes an enemy ship or simply passes a sector with some kind of anomaly the game crashes during the turn!
This is the error I get:
Attempted to access an unloaded AppDomain.
----------------------------------------
I got the latest download of .Net 3.5 Service Pack 1 Beta!
Can anybody tell me what's wrong?
thx

Hi Amon, welcome to the forums! Don't worry about the error message that you're getting - this is a known problem, although admittedly, it's not happening to me. (It used to though) The error message basically means that the game is trying to load *something* while it closes, but since it is closing, it can't. ...When did you download the game? And has the game updated itself recently? It may be that you've got a slightly old version of the game and Mike has since fixed the problem - that might explain why it's not happening to me but it is happening to you. The game now comes with an auto-updater, so it should run every time you play the game. It your game is more than say a week old, try downloading it again, then load it up, but don't start playing a new map - just wait for a minute or two. *If* there is an update available, the game will notify you about it and ask you whether it should download the update. If that doesnt solve the problem or your game is recent though, it may be something else. I'm not the game programmer so can't help in that respect, but if you could tell us your system stats (Processor, Graphics, RAM, operating system) it may help Mike to track the problem down.

Ok: I downloaded the game four days ago and the game updated itself today, but the problem wasn't fixed! I run the game on windows xp with a intel core duo processor 1.6 GHz, 1 GB RAM and a GEFORCE GO 7400! You say the game updated itself when I stay in the main menu? Could it be possible that my firewall blocks the update? Is the download on the http://www.startreksupremacy.com site the latest version? PS: The problem occurs during the loading sequence "Processing Fleet Manouvers" and "Resolving Combat"

So what do I have to do now?

Ok building the first facility! Better? Anyway, I started the game a second time and everything worked fine until I engaged an enemy ship. The the game crashed again during the turn process "resolving combat" and the log showed the same error as described aboth: Attempted to access an unloaded AppDomain. ----------------------------------------

The first error i believe is a result of some of the buildings not having a build cost set in the editor, or at least a similar error has occured as a result.
Second one i believe is also known, though you'll have to wait for MStrobel or MOE to come in as they have more of a handle on specific errors then i do i'am afriad.
Regards Wolfe

Yes, Wolfe is correct on both counts.
The first error message is because some of the buildings do not have any build costs. Due to a bug, the game doesn't know how to handle a build cost of zero so it crashes. Mike is working on a fix for the bug, but I am also working on fixing the buildings with no build costs so either way, the problem is going to be solved.
The second error occurs because the game tries to open *something* while it is closing. This error does not happen for me, although it did used to. There must be some difference in our systems that is preventing it from happening to me, although what this could be I don't yet know. Mike knows about the problem anyways, and will release a fix as soon as he has one. Until then, you'll unfortunately have to put up with that particular annoyance.
