Hmm...you have been away for quite a while if you don't know about the fix for this problem Attraia. It affected a lot of pople when the update was first released, but people haven't mentioned it in a few weeks now.

I've posted a new threa din this forum about known bugs in the current game version. Here's what I posted about your problem:

Quote:
I just updated the game. Now every time I load it up it tells me to download the update all over again!
This problem is related to the crash problem above, and actually has the exact same fix. Replace the HttpDownloader.dll file in your main Supremacy folder with This One. Then, click on Start => Run and type "%temp%UAB" (Without the quote marks) in the box that appears and press enter. This will open a folder called UAB; if there are any files or folders present in the UAB folder, delete them all. Run the game and if it says an update is available, let the game download it and restart the game. If it gets stuck in another loop or crashes, please post about it in the Supremacy Bugs forum.

Hey guys,

I just downloaded the game, is there any updates? Is this still the same version from last year? Just wondering. Thanks

There have been no updates since May 2009. Mike had to stop working on the game for a month or three because of his work demands, and is currently working on some major programming updates that *should* make the game more stable and add in some new features. He also wants to nail down the feature list to avoid feature creep. Unfortunately, this means the next update is still a while away. We'll post a news item as soon as the update is released though, and obviously the auto-updater will run when you load the game. I can tell you that it's going to at the very least be a major content update because we've got tons of new images for the game.

I just posted the fix for your problem in the other thread by the way.

Mike hopes to have a multiplayer version by August.
We want to demo the game for fans at the next Vegas Star Trek Con.
It likely will be without 3D combat engine and without an AI until later.
