There was a sudden crash when I tested the battle engine...here's what it was:

Thanks, i'll have a look at the command logic, my guess judging from the explosion is that it is looking for a ship that isn't there i.e the null reference error.

Thanks for the report.

My pleasure. More comments to come.

It's odd that after I select a ship and keep pressing + to increase speed, they still move quite slowly. Also, there should be an indicator of speed and which mode each ship is in (aggressive, passive, etc.). But I'm sure you're planning on including that at a later time.

Explosions are odd, low-quality with no debris of the ship, no hull buckling, no shields buckling, etc. But that's probably because this is in its infancy. Either way, thanks for the hard work, Wolfe!

Speed is 'progressive' i.e it builds up momentum until it reaches its max speed for the level you have it set at.

Currently there is no GUI so lttle feedback on things like current ship speed, hull/shield strength etc, hopefully that is to come but no doubt later.

Ship explosions effects are a bit low tech but also hopefully not to cpu expensive, improvements should come but we shall see. With regards to deformable ship destruction, err that would require me to learn how it is actually done so that may take a long time ;).

Haven't added shields yet but looking to do so as the next big effect.

Anyway thanks for the comments.

Regards Wolfe
