I was playing as the Klingons and noticed that one of my systems had two shipyards 8O It acted (in the shipbuilding menu) as if I only had one, but the build list listed upgrades for the both of them. Strange.

Well there are varying levels of shipyards, one for basic small ships, then a medium shipyard for larger more techy ships and a large shipyard etc.

So you could technically have a small and medium shipyard but this only means you can build two tiers of ships not build two ships at a time, unless this has been changed lol.

I'm personally working on a game content update - in fact I finished it last night - that *should* correct problems like this.

The standard game database is full of errors like this, such as buildings that aren't set to upgrade properly, buildings that have no construction costs, buildings that have the wrong bonuses set, missing minor races, minor races whose species has been set as Human, etc etc. Chances are you've got two shipyards because they aren't upgrading correctly or haven't been set to be mutually exclusive of each other.

The problems are the result of several different people in that past working on the game at the same time, and using different versions of the "final" game reference database to make those changes. Since different people were making different changes, a lot of things inevitably got overlooked. Chances are some problems will have slipped through the net even in my own update because the final version of the game reference database has been updated even whilst I was performing that update, but those *should* be few and far between. You can find the current version of the reference database Here.

I've sent the update to Mike (The developer), so it is just a matter of time now before he makes it available for general release. People will then be able to notify me if they notice any problems so I can fix them. The next update that I will work on will focus on the shiplist, because many of the ships are missing or have inaccurate stats.

No, I don't think that was it. I double-clicked on the shipyard (the basic Klingon shipyard) to build it, and when I went to the next turn, the update screen said that it had been built twice, dispite me only putting it in the quoue once. There were, in fact, two shipyards built, so it wasn't an error in the turn report. Somehow, the order to build one shipyard turned into two shipyards, with two seperate entries to upgrade in the build screen, yet acting as a single shipyard.

Oh, now I understand you. That's a known bug; sometimes the build screen desynchronises from the rest of the game. A building can be built whilst the construction order remains in the construction list - so the game builds another one.

This bug *should* have been fixed several updates ago, but we're still getting a few reports - including this one from you - that the bug is still present. Just to check, do you have the most recent version of the game? The game comes with an auto-updater that notifies you when an update is available. Have you seen the updater box recently?

Also, do you have any saves of the game where it happened, preferably one near to the bug? If you do, attach the .sav file (It's located in your Supremayc folder) to a post; Mike might be able to look at it and trace the cause of the problem. :)

I've uploaded the .sav. It is the turn after the bug (I believe) occurs. The affected system is Antica. My game version is current as of December 9, 2008.
