I think i've seen this error message before. *If* i'm right, it happens when some game component hasn't closed properly. Try restarting your computer and see if the game loads fine. If not, try redownloading the game; make sure you physically delete your existing version first though to avoid file conflicts.

I'm not an expert on these messages though; Mike knows a lot more about these things than me, so you can either try my suggestions or wait for him to post.
