I can't build any outposts or starbases with the Dominion. I have transports, both type 1 and 2s but I can only order them to Avoid. Also, listening posts are being built twice on most of the systems. The game looks great tho. I do like the Dominions home nebula |

I know about the problem with the Dominion - in fact I fixed it a couple of weeks ago. I just haven't released the update. Since i'm not entirely sure which game files you have, (Mine are different since i'm doing the updates) you might be able to to fix it in your own game - but only if the Dominion stations have already been implemented. Load up the editor (SupremacyEditor2.exe in your main Supremacy folder. It will take anything up to a minute to load after you click it so please be patient) then click on the "factions" tab at the top of the screen. On the left, scroll down to the Dominion, then double-click them. On the right hand side, where it says tech tree, look for an icon that looks like a sheet of paper. Click it. A box will appear asking you to select tech object. Scroll down the list until you find objects starting with the dom_ prefix. These are the Dominion buildings, ships, and stations. The list of Dominion objects*should* be very small, because most of them have already been selected (They are removed from the list if they are already selected) If you find ANY objects starting with the Dom_ prefix, click the little checkbox next to them. You're especially looking for: Dom_Outpost_I Dom_Outpost_II Dom_Science_Station Dom_Starbase_I Dom_Starbase_II The stations *may* have different names in your version of the game though. By adding the objects to the tech list, you'll be able to build them in the game. If they are not present though, you'll just have to wait for the next game update. Once you've finished, click on ok, then close the editor. It will ask you whether to save the configuration. Say yes. If you added any objects to the Dominion tech list, then those new objects will now be buildable. One thing you should know: if you make any changes to the game, the auto-updater will regard your files as "outdated" and will attempt to "update" your game every time you play. You will have to tell it not to update until you know that a real update has been released. We will announce such updates on the forums as soon as they are available. |
