First off, Hey, I suppose I'm new here. I had been loosely following this game for over a year now, tinkering with the first released playtest, and just enjoying myself.

Anyway, I recently bought a new computer, and decided to get Supremacy back. However, when I extracted it, and attempted to run the client, I got this error, was curious of anyone knows what it pertains to, and if there is a possible known solution.

Description:

Hey Tykian, welcome to the forums! :)

You're unfortunately not the only person that has encountered a loading crash with the game. I can't decipher error reports so don't know if you're encountering the same problem, but we do have a possible fix for you to try. I've posted this in other threads and it has worked for people, so you might want to try it for yourself:

Quote:
Download This File straight into your main Supremacy folder, and it will ask you whether to overwrite the existing version of the file. Say yes.

Next, click on Start => Run, and type "%temp%/UAB" (Without the quote marks) into the box that appears and press enter. A folder called UAB will then open. If there are any files or folders inside the UAB folder, delete them all, then load the game and cross your fingers. This fix also works for problems with the updater.
Let us know what happens. I'm crossing my fingers. :)

I figured it was indeed a problem with the updater (from what I can tell, that is the updater), sadly this did not fix my problem.

On a side note, the folder you asked me to empty, did not exist at all.

Hmm...if the folde rdidn't exist then it sounds like your game hasn't yet performed an update. I'll PM Mike and see if he knows what the problem is.
