I would like to know if certain words are supposed to go outside of the frame. Is it a bug or the frame has no limit? (the name is a Cardassian Union Stellar Research Laboratory)

By comparison with the picture below

If we look well at 2 pictures, the "State Tribunal" picture is sharply smaller than that of the "Dilithium Refinery". There is a big problem somewhere.

The encyclopedia images display in their original size. That's because different image types have different aspect ratios (i.e. race images vs. ship images). I imagine I placed maximum size restrictions on the images, but I don't recall for sure. I'll check into it.

The outpost text clipping problem is a bug. I'll fix it so the text wraps like in the build queue. Thanks!

Mike just sent me a PM. I've been sending him update PM's as developments occur on the forums. He told me that he will likely be busy until the end or August or even the start of September, so his reappearance is unfortunately only temporary.

As for the images, i've just checked and their dimensions are exactly the same, (270x225) so you've put some sort of restrictions in there somewhere, Mike.

Regarding the State Tribunal picture, it's not the only one; all the empire structures such Martial Law (fed), Death Squad (dom), Execution Day & Targ Breeding Ground (klin), Night Patrol (rom), have all the same problem of frame by comparison with other structures.

If you view these stuctures in the system screen, in the Build List, all the pictures and Martial Law (fed), Death Squad (dom), Execution Day & Targ Breeding Ground (klin), Night Patrol (rom) have the same frame dimensions but not in the Encyclopdy

According to the language of translation which used, in the image below, I noticed by example in my language that by translating the name of a vessel, there is not enough place in the frame for the translate and it made take out the resources out of their frame (orange arrows).

My idea is the following one for that it also renders service to other translators:
Move the name below the vessel picture to be built (white arrows) for have a maximum place for the ship name

Move the resources more towards the center (it can have numbers with 4 figures there) (yellow arrows)

Image

If you agreed my idea, it could give for result the image below (Warning it is a small assembly, it not appears in the game)

Yeah, good idea. i'll notify Mike of your post. I'm sure he'll think of a use for the additional space this would create anyway.

...One thing you might want to know though, the screen is scaleable; the larger the resolution, the more relative space the game will give to the various panels, so problems such as text overruns are less likely on higher resolutions.
