Cheers anyway mate.

Jade- I'm definitely gonna steer well clear from now on.... I did get slightly scared earlier.

whyever not? you said sorry, we all have bad hair days (me more than most if you`ve seen my pic)
we are all capable of lashing out, but so long as you realize you made a mistake and apoligise then that`s the end of it. i am sure carrot would agree.

I was just kidding there Jade, and nobody's taken offense, the matter's now closed.

Now Jig's stated that the recent habit of asking lots of questions regarding timescales will not provoke any more arguments, we'll just have to avoid similar threads in future. Your imput on the various issues we're debating for the future game is insightful and it would be a loss to the forum if it disappeared. :D

I shouldnt have said what i did in the way i did, im sorry for that, but my opinion is no differant.

At the end of the day its stupid to get so worked up to argue with someone over a game on the net. I feel ive let the site down and myself down, which is why i dont feel i should post again, and proberly wont post again.

Dont worry ill be on msn and on the site getting ready to beat you all when its released
but bibi for now

Would it make you feel better if I showed you all the posts where I told Marky he was mentally ill, mentally unstable, a carrier loving friek, a tranny, a big fat tranny, a twat, a nob, numbnuts, a skullfuck, a doosh bag, a joey, a jaffa, a spunk monkey, a turd burglar, the crazy world of arthur brown, a pice of gagh, a peice of racht, a piece of rokeg bllod pie, a shoopy looper, a ****, a roboborg, and yes, a well meaning dick.

Seriously tho, most of those were on the same thread....

I've been warned a few times, and this didn't even get you that far, and to be fair it's not like you were in the monority with your opinion, (prob more like 50/50). So don't worry about it, and only censor yourself enough that you don't get banned. Way more fun that way.

Hey Jade dont worry about it, everyone can voice thier opinion, and no need to say sorry, we all have our bad days! Its just nice to see so much passion in the community about this game, very encouraging!

Agreed. Just recently there's been a return to the healthy debate that used to characterise this forum. Fair enough there are a couple of issues that have gotten slightly out of hand, but IMO that's better than no posts at all.

Those who argued with you earlier do understand your position. Having been registered here over a year, I'm pretty much ready to bust outside and machine gun down passers by while shouting diplomatic messages in Klingon. It will be an awesome day when it's released.

Perhaps locking the thread was a tad premature and unnessacary. Appolgies for closing it, thanks jig for un-locking it.

Have one for me too, Jade. I'll be spending most of my weekend working on my senior design project, so no drinking or fun for me :(.

Wow.

All that fighting and I wasn't even involved! If i'd known jig wasn't gonna ban people over that, I would have joined in myself!

It's true though - the forums are for healthy debate. Everyone has their own opinions, and everyone has the right to post.

HOWEVER, there are also things known as thought and tact - as I had to mention to someone quite a while ago who will remain nameless now that we are on speaking terms.

What i'm saying, is that occaisionally, people will get hot-headed over certain issues. It's human nature. We all make mistakes, we all get too involved.

Please try to remember everything that people have said. This game is being made by the devs for free, in their own time. Other than a new game, our thankyous and possibly a beer or twenty, the devs will get no benefits from making the game.

The forums are here to give them an idea of what we would like to be in the game, but it doesn't dictate what they do/what will be in the game - it is just a guide.

So when someone believes something will be in the game FULL STOP, and doesn't listen to others views, or when people demand updates, or patches, or mods, or whatever, try and keep a cool head.

You wouldn't wanna be banned before the game is even released, would you? 8O

So let's all psychically (Or technologically) shake hands as Coopa said, and never speak of this again.

The game will be released when/if Gavin says it will, end of story.

If everyone is O.K with this, we should turn this into a thread discussing the demo, as there hasn't been much chat or anticipation recently.

Im busy trying to clear up some space at the moment for the demo. I'm hoping the release won't be over 300 mb as that could cause me problems.

O.K and lets be honest here, What things have you done which seem kind of obsessive while hoping for the demo?

Well for me, I have closed my eyes as I load up the page and then slowly open them, revealing a little bit of the top news page a little at a time, hoping of the update.

Ah, that was fun, yet a bit anti-climatic

Oh, and another one, does anyone else get, when there is a post in the Staff Forum, a little anticapted because that could be Jig saying "Done, just uploading"

No......just me then. Oh well

I wouldn't expect the Demo to be release for atleast another 2 weeks, so you can keep your eyes open for now.l

i just have two questions:
1- what's the word for "Devs"? I know it refers to the guys working on the game, but i can't figure it out =P
2- is the demo ready?????

nah, nº 2 is just a little joking. I can't live without saying something stupid every minute or so... ^^
