Bad suggestion, we want as many people as possible to play this game. If you close this game down then this would mean that this game will have less a succes into spreading over the world. I have no idea what kind of impact this game will have, but the 20 post suggestions is out of the question.

As zach21uk said in his Hailing Frequencies Podcast number 8, if the big companies got their act together, and simply employed Gavin and any other fans that are making their own trek game, allowing them access to their resources and stuff so they could be polished off for commercial release, then we wouldn't have to put up with mediocre games that take forever to come out, and the big companies would end up making a pot load of money on stuff that people want to buy coz they know its gonna be good!

The problem is that the big companies usually only care about making money, and this blinds them to things that everyone else finds obvious.

The big companies will likely never lift a finger for fan-based games, unless it is to sue the pants off them.

Unless BOTF2 becomes so popular that it threatens the pockets of the big companies, I doubt it will ever be even acknowledged by them. Remember that Gavin and the devs are making it entirely in their own time, and out of their own pockets. It is a free game, so they can't sue Gavin and the team for making money off something that they don't 'own'. *Edit -I mean the trek franchise here.*

Sadly, with the break-up of Viacom or whatever, (And the fact that Microsoft is nothing to do with Star trek ) I don't think there is a chance of one of the big companies making Gavin rich for all his hard work.
