Yes fellow trekkies, It's that time. Fabulous 40's.
Thinking back to when I first watched Star Trek in black and white, how the memories flow. Poorly designed back drops, (you could see the plywood under the paint), really bad scripts. Reminded me of a poor spaghetti western show..
Beaming to a hostile planet, Captian kirk, Spock, Dr. Mc Coy, Mr. Sulu, and me wearing a "red" shirt.
It never failed during almost every episode Kirk would wind up with his shirt either torn, or off completely! lol....
Over the years though, Old trekkies like me stuck to it like glue. Never missing an episode. Never fearing to make some type of "trekcomment" while at school.... Then we finally had our first movie... Yee Haa! Happy times are here again...Next TNG... wonderful.. high tech, everything actually worked as it was designed by NASA engineers. "Ahh the good life"
Of course we cannot forget DS9, Voyager and Enterprise to bring us up to date...
No matter where you entered and became a trekkie. I'm one who will say thank you for continuing on an excellent series.
Now with BOTF II in the works as well as a few other games being built as we read.. I thank all those younger fans (younger then me that is) for having the inspiration to carry on and build these what will be fabulous online games... Congrats to you all!.
Before closing.. I have to spoof one of my favorite lines from the original series...
"Bones" What can we do in this situation? I need and answer now Mister!
*Reply* Damnit it Jim, "I'm a simple country doctor not a script writer"
and the famous line that was never spoken...
"Beam Me Up Scotty" (Wipes a tear from the corner of my eye)
Thanks to Star Trek and Thanks to you all,
Signing off.

You do not need to be sad for Scotty. Doohan will have his ashes blasted into space. That is more than most of use can hope for on our demise. He lives in our memory. I too have to admit I saw the original series premier. It is good to see the series lives on. It was delightful to see a fan based production of Star Trek out of Scotland. The only thing wrong was when the away-team beamed down to the alien planet. The planet looked like the highlands of Scotland. Everyone knows from the TV series that most alien worlds look like Southern California. Silly Scotts, aliens are from California.
