Erg, a RTS on a console....
And only on a console, they had me until that point.
The decision to make it Xbox 360 only has me completely baffled too, since RTSs are, I think, a genre of games that is least likely to work well on a console. Even if they are making it from the ground up specifically for the Xbox 360.

Nowt wrong with console RTS games as long as theres a keyboard and mouse for said console. Trying to play using gamepads tho etc is a big no no tho.

they have fixed this controller issue.

Eversince Blizzard stopped making RTSes, or started making really bad ones, Enesemble has taken the lead, in my opinion (AOM, AOE).

they know what they're doing - and they especially know that they have to get the controls perfect.

WooHoo!!! My favorite FPS is coming to my favorite genre...RTS!!! Oh, wait...what's this? X-Box 360 exclusive? Meaning not on PC!!!??? Ensemble Studios (makers of Age of Empires and Age of Mythology) are making a game that's not coming out on PC? Unheard of...this has to be a mistake. With Ensemble making the game, I know it will be good. But an RTS on a console has never been my idea of fun. Even if I were using a keyboard rather than a controller, it's still an RTS on a console.

I don't understand Microsoft's reasoning either. It's going to be released after Halo 3 right? So this won't boost sales of the 360 as most Halo fans will already have one. And making it available on both the PC and 360 would appeal to potential Halo fans that don't own a 360 and want to get involved with Halo. Plus it would appeal to people like me who don't like to play an RTS on a console.

Can someone explain any good reason why Microsoft and Ensemble would benefit from putting the game on only the 360?
