Two words: source control. Microsoft offers free hosting with Team Foundation Server (an excellent source control system) at . There's no excuse not to use it .
I was about four months into coding before I had anything visual to show off. You're in for a long haul .
@cdrwolfe: To which command console are you referring? The Immediate window?

I may be wrong but at this moment i have to open up CMD and then move to the directory and run the program through there, which is a pain in the ass, while i in Dev C++ you can simply compile and it runs straight off, i thought the "bought" version of C# VS had a built in console or something can't remember whre i read about it.

Ctrl+Shift+B --> Build Solution
F5 --> Run startup project in debugger
Ctrl+F5 --> Run startup project without debugger
You'll need to right-click a project in the Solution Explorer and set it as the startup project.

You could define your enumeration to inherit from type 'byte' instead of the default 'int'... that should cut the size down dramatically if you haven't done this already.
You should also ask yourself if you really need to use an array. You could just rebuild a Dictionary map at the beginning of each turn that indexes star systems and such by map location as a means of quickly looking up whatever celestial body lies at a given coordinate (and don't insert any values for empty sectors). Considering that you'll probably have more empty sectors than anything else, this might save you a nice chunk of memory for the client process, and since you're rebuilding it dynamically on game load/beginning of turn, it wouldn't need to be serialized as part of the game state.

Well, I am back under my original ID, thanks to Jig.
Development went into the dump ... my pc was stolen and I lost all data quite a while ago. So now I am in the process of rebuilding what I had and trying to get somewhere in my life at the same time lol...
On the plus side I can play NWN2 again! ... but for some strange reason this machine will not play BOTF ... oh well. I will be active again now that I can go online and actually read whats going on.
Mike, I got the latest version and checked it out. Looking good! Have some feedback, but need to read over whats already been said so as not to repeat someone else.
*EDIT*
Guess I should mention that I am ventrion, but access to that account would probably require my posts being deleted ... and that would suck for me.

worst part of all of it is that I lost a lot of important documents as well.
All in all though, I'd rather lose the data on the computer than the data in my head.

Sounds about right... It always is easier to replace data on a computer than trying to remember forgotten ideas.
