You expected Matress to leave after spending four years of his life tied to the forums? Shame on you. THE MATRESS HAS RETURNED!

Been checking just about everyday for the boards to be back up, glad to see they are up now . Can't wait for the game to evolve into its next stage, sounds like there has been interesting new ideas floating around on some of the threads.

Of course! I get very little time these days, but the promise of some kind of BoTF2 keeps me checking in every now and then...
Hi everyone by the way!

I knew SOM was here as well. Matress has eyes and ears everywhere... It also helps when people PM you to announce their visit...Zeleni, get working on the minor race ship database now!

Hi all I've not been around much recently, but with fairly good reason, I've actually got married and had 2 kids since I first became a member... Now my youngest warrior is 1 I'm finding I'm getting a lot more sleep and have started to catch up with a few of my interests again, including watching DS9 DVDs and of course checking this site. I hope everyone's keeping well, I said to Matress in a PM I can remember him joining this site, now he (and most of you) significantly outranks me..... I'll have to behave. I'm kind of hoping if there's any other old school members around they'll check this thread and say hi, any signs of iwulff? Or Marky....??? I'm fairly sure there's more mileage to get out of carriers and OTIS. In terms of the current projects, to answer Skeeter's question, yes I've downloaded and played both Supremacy and BOTE. Wow is all I'll say to both, it's good to see projects that aren't all talk and are getting somewhere. BOTE is amazing work, you have delivered what BoTF fans have wanted for years, a fully moddable version of BoTF. Now that foundation is laid, the sky is the limit. At the moment, Supremacy is the one I'm watching, mainly because I feel it moves things forward a little bit more, and it's so damn pretty, however it has more of a way to go. Once I'm got to grips with the games a little more I'll post some educated feedback for both projects. There are a lot of screens for a certain mod for BOTE, I imagine it can't be far away... I'm a little biased toward Supremacy now as I really want tio be in the Trek universe. The 3D combat engine looks great by the way, it's good that things are being developed which can be used for both projects, it all means that each has a lot more support. I can't wait to see where the game's are in a couple of years time onmce the modders have had chance to experiment, look at what has been done to an "unmoddable" game like BoTF....! I'll be here a lot more now anyway, and I'll drop back in with that feedback. Good to see you all again.

I'm glad too that these forums are back on line. I've been regulary checking the German BotE forums. I'm guessing something gets lost in translation as I don't understand half the posts.

Marky hasn't been on the forums since before even I signed up - i've never actually met the guy, SOM. And as for Iwulff we have no idea what's happened to him. He's vanished off the face of the earth, just like CVN-65, sthedgehog, SMIFFGIG, OmniQ, and tons of other people. Glad to hear from you again, at least there's some hope for our wandering friends. I hope you do stay around this time as well. Sixteen spiritual slaughterings of Jem'hadar is getting a bit much, isn't it? ... You're not the only one that thinks that, Blane. I used to use Altavista to translate, but i've given up on that now. Malvoisin is my source of BOTE knowledge now.
