With updates coming as often as they do and the game being Pre alpha it would not be valid for long. What is the cause of the internet connection failure? Could you take a laptop to an wireless zone?

If you go to your local library, or an internet cafe, you might be able to download a copy of the game from there. That would be the safest and easiest way of doing it. And as Kenneth said, sending you a full copy of the game isn't really practical because it undergoes updates so frequently. However, all you really need is a copy of the game that is equipped with the auto-updater; the game performs an update based on your current files, (Which is why preparing for updates can take so long) so if an update fails or isn't completed, it will redownload problem files and pick up where it left off from. You therefore don't need to worry about dropping the connection whilst performing an update. Is there anywhere at all that you can safely download the game from? School, work, libraries, internet cafes, friends? If you discuss your problem with someone/an organisation you know, you're bound to eventually find a way to download the game in full. As for the connection dropping, may I ask what sort of connection you have? If you have a wireless connection; - Try resetting the connection.
- Try moving your computer/laptop closer to the wireless signal.
- Try clearing any objects that may be blocking the signal, especially if they are dense or made of metal.
- Try reinstalling the router software.
- Try updating your router firmware if you are confident enough to do so. (Not advisable if you aren't)
- Make sure the wires are connected properly to your router and/or wireless antenna.
- Test your router with a friends computer and see if they can get a signal from it to make sure the router isn't dying; if it is, check your warranty and see if you can get it repaired or replaced before considering a replacement. Or if your router is part of a deal of some kind, try contacting the provider.
- If you got the router elsewhere, try contacting your provider to see if they know of any problems with the connection or incompatibilities with the router.
- Try using a different router with your connection. Try a friends one if you can.
- If all else fails, try switching providers.
If you've got a wired connection; - Try resetting the connection.
- Make sure the wires are connected properly.
- Make sure the wires are undamaged. You can get new cables from any computer or electronics store.
- Try updating your modem firmware if you are confident enough to do so. (Not advisable if you aren't)
- Test your modem with a friends computer and see if it works to make sure the modem isn't dying; if it is, check your warranty and see if you can get it repaired or replaced before considering a replacement. Or if your modem is part of a deal of some kind, try contacting the provider.
- If you got the modem elsewhere, try contacting your provider to see if they know of any problems with the connection or incompatibilities with the router.
- Try using a different router with your connection. Try a friends one if you can.
- If all else fails, try switching providers.
I know the other guys have mentioned about not posting your address, but you really need to be more careful about stuff like that; you never know who could find and use your details. People can commit fraud or steal your identity with even small amounts of personal information, so you really do need to be careful. Only provide details as a last resort and ONLY if you know and trust the person you are communicating with. And if you do decide to give out the information, make sure it is sent via a secure, non-public method. There's no point in being careful if the delivery method transmits the information across the public domain, or vice-versa.

Is it the game itself or an update that is downloading slowly? If it's an update, we've got a possible fix. If it is the game though, then i'm not really sure what the problem might be. I found the download speed very slow as well, but even at its slowest I get the game around 10 times faster than you apparently are. The only thing I can think of is perhaps downloads are being throttled by some other program (Torrents, other downloads...), perhaps your download ports are being blocked, or you've got an overzealous antivirus/firewall program.
Mike will have to discus those things with you though to get to the root of the problem. Try sending him a PM. His forum username is Mstrobel.

I was able to download the game. I am able to play the origional version but, when i install the updates the game will not play. It closes and Windows reports that the program has stopped working. Has anyone else had this happen to them? Is there a fix?

Yep, there is a fix; in fact, i've lost count of the number of times i've posted the fix for other people who are encountering the same problem. Don't worry though, here it is again: Quote: Download This File straight into your main Supremacy folder, and it will ask you whether to overwrite the existing version of your HttpDownloader.dll file. Say yes. Next, click on Start => Run, and type "%temp%/UAB" (Without the quote marks) into the box that appears and press enter. A folder called UAB will then open. If there are any files or folders inside the UAB folder, delete them all, then load the game and cross your fingers. This fix also works for problems with the updater.

Damn, you're the second person that this glitch has happened to today. Check your PM's, there's a partial fix available but it's not ideal. Mike is working on an update to fix it though.

tried the fix but it did not work. Windows error code. I have a brand new computer that is for gaming so i dont think it has anything to do what that. Besides I have played the game on my new computer the other day. A fix for everything? You'd best wait for the final release of the game...so a few years yet. I have no idea how long it will take for the current problems to be solved, but Mike is a slave driver for stuff like this and spends every moment he can working on the game. The fix will be released the moment it is ready, and I strongly doubt we will need to wait long. Just have patience.
