I've not head of any official confirmations yet. I've heard rumours that they may do a Wrath of Khan remake though. Now THAT would be one hell of a movie.

Current planning is to film in 2011 and release the film in 2012. I think it was for a summer release. There have been preliminary meetings about the script. They have floated some ideas but will not say much more. Khan has been noted but mostly by fans.

The Khan idea has been scraped, they will go for a brand new villain, possibly Gorn or Klingon.

Yeah i've heard the Gorn idea before. I loved how they did the Gorn in Enterprise. Fast, vicious, intelligent. THAT'S how you do an enemy. They were pathetic in TOS, but Enterprise did them proud.

V'Ger? Q? Well, they would make powerful adversaries. But first, how to implement V'Ger.... the giant spacecraft that must be multiple times larger than even the mighty Borg Cube. That IS a challenge. Any suggestions?
