Well, I'm not a big fan of the new "Trek" so I doubt that I'll watch the movie, but hey, who knows, if I come across it, I might watch it.

I'll watch it, but i'll reserve judgement on how good it is. Yes, Star Trek 2009 was good in itself, but we all know it wasn't Trek.

Why cant they frelling start with the ds9 crew in movies. I always figured a set of tos movies then there was tng movies now wheres the ds9 and voyager movies. I know its harder to work with them series for movies but i reckon, given trek lore to draw from, could turn out some great ideas. A good dukat vs sisko mission in the style of TWOK would be mint imo.

I guess I too, wonder why there were no movies from the other series. They were good shows. However, the end of Voyager was so final. Big blow to the Borg: Federation secure for a long while. The other idea would be to launch a completely new series with a movie first. Something with a Promethius class ship. Perhaps Dr. Bashir, captain of his own ship, saving the Federation...

No definitely not a fan of the new trek....There are some things that should not be remade.... Trek is one of them

zahadoom! Welcome back to the forums mate! Long time no see! Technically, Trek 2009 was Trek re-imagined, not Trek remade. It wasn't a remake of any existing film or episode...[/end nitpick]
