The REAL holodeck coming "soon"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rJ1p5SD3sOMPretty cool, now they just need to convert light into matter and vice versa and we have a trek holodeck.

What i meant was how the transporters work in trek as thats basically how the tech works for the holodeck duno why i said light for lol but somit is converted to matter then back to nothing again for holodeck.

Very nice, I can so see the potential for all of that in the next next generation of gaming platforms. I think for example Sony is already releasing a 3D screen that has 2 players see different images so when playing First Person Shooters, you can both use the same screen but not have to use a split screen. A lot of the 3D TVs are trying to head in that direction where you wouldn't need glasses (there are already models out there now). It always fascinates me to see what they come up with next.
