And about the 'could have had a reveal' - remember the intro sequence is taken from 'Air'... so we knew since back then who was attacking, and that they had to have had 'insiders' knowledge to attack.

I guess one of Rhona Mitra's first roles was a girlfriend in "Party of Five" a show here stateside. I didn't watch that show much but one that I watched introduced her. She has a look to her that is rather haunting. One of the party of five is of course a (the) lead on the hit series "Lost."

Yeah we knew it was the Lucian Alliance.

Ha! Good one! Thanks for the laugh. Excellent. Your plan would have been clever. They were coming though one at a time. Just pick em off. So what if you don't get all of them, it would have at least reduced the odds. Partially venting the atmosphere would have distracted them when they came through (although I guess Air could come through the stargate too). AlexMcpherson for captain of Destiny.

You know what I was wondering. We have seen much of SG-1 in roles in SGU. Will we ever see any of the Atlantis Team? Ronin would have given the group an advantage.

I don't think we'll see the Atlantis team for a while. My question would be: why not try to open the gate to Atlantis? We know that Atlantis is in a different galaxy altogether, and who knows? Maybe Destiny is close-by. But after all, where would the sense be in getting Atlantis crewmembers onboard Destiny? After all, the ship is run by a military, and there's still turmoil between civilian and military personnel. What do you think the Atlantis team is going to think when they get on the ship? Are they going to say, "oh look, here's a ship where the peoplez are at war with each other (practically), let's help them."? I think we still need to see some surprises from Destiny before we can move onto the final help from Atlantis stage. I think that the Ancients built Destiny for a reason, and that reason is... who knows? I'm guessing either long-range recon vessel, or tourist ship. But still, I think Destiny will have it's revenge on the intruders. That, or the crew will find a way to get past their problems with each other, and save the ship. Yay!

And Andrew, you're forgetting that atlantis is 1 month away at the Daedalus' class "Cruise" hyperspace speed, or between 2 and 3 weeks at "Maximum warp" - I mean, Maximum hyperspace speed. *cough*

Thats 2 million lightyears. Milkywa galaxy is only 100,000 ly in diameter, approx.

So if the Daedalus class ships can't reach Destiny in a sane amount of time, and the destiny did in fact, cross between galaxies in less time..



Then not even knowing where in the universe Destiny is (afterall, the SAME address was used by lucian allience to gate to destiny - so it's a mobile address, if you will, rather than a fixed, landline. yay me with the continued phone metaphor.)
And so we get the issue... How long would it take one of our ships to even reach the galaxy they were in when they first got aboard it?

Remember, the destiny's drives...


They are not anywhere near our local group of galaxies, and pegasus is pretty much "next door" in that sense. dont forget the end of SG-A, either (well, I try to)


Therefore your suggestion was pointless *anyway*.

The ancients built it to go forth and explore, seed the other galaxies while they grew in size.
Then, I suspect, the plague began to hit and after however long of fighting it, they left our galaxy in the city of Atlantis, for pegasus, those remaining probably unaware of Destiny, despite it's Mobile Phone Number being in Atlantis' database somewhere not so obvious.

I think the Atlantis team might be working on a movie. And of course there is no way to get them to Destiny. Somehow with the stones maybe Rodney can figure out more of how the ship works. Perhaps even solve the riddle of 46.
