Yeah.. Remember that one episode in Enterprise when a ship from the far distant future was found by Enterprise? That thing was awsome!!! The inside of it was bigger than the outside!!! I would love to see more of that kind of stuff!!! Might be a big adjustment though... Can you imagine it? The most powerful battlecruiser in the Federaiont fleet being the same size as a shuttle pod 8O 8O

Bit of a Dr. Who moment there...
Would be cool though - the Academy thing.
We've never had a really good look at Academy life afterall, have we?
We've just seen a few shots of the gardens and bars, and that's about it.
Now we want more!

I recall a show where Spock was an instructor at the academy. Nicly done too. There are variations upon variations to work with.
Yea I only saw 3 shows of Ent. It didnt take any more then that to curl my stomach and put me to sleep. but then again I'm an original Trekkie
TOS....
I for one whould have enjoyed the show if they would have actually DONE something WITH the show. Yes Yes I understand first baby steps and so forth, but please!!! Grag it on and on and on??? Zzzzzzzzzz... lol
We can do better.... All of us here.. So How about WE write a new series and submit it to to em...

if you saw more of the show you would have been saying different things just there...
Trust me... I managed to get one of my friends who was a big time Treakie and had decided that he hated Enterprise and it was the worst Startrek ever... I then almost forced him to watch just one more episode, and he was hooked!!!
From then on he watched every show he could and after each episode ended he headed to some trek forum to talk about it with other Trekkies that had seen the light if you will...
It isn't too late for you!!! I think an Enterprise season might have been released by now if you want to give it a chance.

Also, Winterhawk, I know what you mean (thought I'm a rather young fart ) I also hated ENT season I, but now I'm watching II and it's not that bad actualy. And it only gets better as it goes along
I only ever saw season I of TOS. And I had seen VGR and TNG before it, so I found it,... don't shoot me... boring
*ducks to avoid gunshots, bat'leths, phasers ect.*

Nah CVN I would'nt shoot you.
I understand that you all came into TREK land at a later time. Actually I fnd thats a good thing. You all offer fresh thinking and ideas. I know old farts like me who thought TOS was a waste of time/money/film ect.
Yea so a bunch of us stuffed them into an air lock and threatened to open it. lol My thought is to capture an aduiance you have to grab them at the onset. Sure Ent is not Trek I agree. It's not supposed to be.
For me, TOS was an age of wonder. as it was for the rest of the world too.
I mean we opened up space flight. Opened a whole new type of world.
You all came after the fact. It was a way of life with you Thusly your expections are higher. You have seen what we did and state.. BORING!!
And why should'nt you? For yall we look like apes tossing sticks at one another. lol Perhaps in a few years I might try Ent again.
I wonder though, Why even try to tie everything together from the beginning like Ent tried to do? From TOS to now there is what 4 branches off of the tree? That leaves a few million to be explored adn written about for future shows. TOS brought us Klingons, Cardiassions, and Romulans as other races. TNG brought Ferengi, borg, Q, and ?? I know a couple others. DS9 opened up the wormhole to a whole new quadrant with even new races and problems. So what happened to the worlds that told TOS and TNG to come back in a few hundred years when Federation "Grew up" as they stated. See what I mean? Lots to work with. Run along the new branches. See whats there. Example, when did TNG make contact with the Ferengi? how did that first meeting go? We know about the meetings with the borg and Q. Lots to work with.

Bits of ent are worth watching but as ive said before you were never gunnu convince anyone that it was pre enterprise when all the equipment was touch screen and much more modern looking. If they couldnt have used buttons and stuff and made a decent series that actually looked star trek they shouldnt have bothered. DS9 was the peak, thats a brilliant series, voyager was ok and worth the watch, it got a lot better when teh borg started to show up.
Personally id prefer to see riker on the titan. So many gd characters from DS9 to who could easily be fitted into another series. But as far as i know there are no current plans for another star trek

Like I said , there are thousands of branches to work off of.....
that would be interesting...
I would enjoy to even see Riker, or Jordi or even Worf in command of thier own ships...
It's a whole new world out there!

Now, you look at the name, just down from the cockpit, read it outloud and then say Trek didn't leave a mark on the world

Heh...it only took 400,000 people to make it possible!
And just think...now it can't even fly coz they've takn away the wing flaps so they could test how much damage could be done, just coz some idiot scientist decided the damage caused in the original tests before Columbia blew up was too large to enter in the program!
At least she was able to send Gene Roddenberry to the place where he belonged... (I mean that in a good way)

One of the things I want to see in the US is the Enterprise in the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum.
And, well to be honest it never did fly very high, Matress, sadly. Suborbital-orbital flights only

Ok, This is what i read in the latest star trek communicator mag.
A new book series is comming out (first issue is already out) called Star Trek: Titan. Oviously its based on Capt Riker in command of the U.S.S. Titan.
The Crew is Capt Riker, Senior counsler/ Diplomatic officer Deanna Troi, XO Commander Christine Vale (Former secutity chief of USS Enterprise E), Dr Shenti Yisec Eres Ree (Medical Chief), commander Tuvok (Tactical/ Second Officer (Voyager)), Nurse Alyssa Ogawa (enterprise D and E (Chief Nurse)), Dr. Xin Ra-Havreii (Chief Engineer (Supervised the building of the titan)), Lieutenant Commander Ranul Keru (Chief Security Officer (Trill and former partner of Lieutenant Hawk from Enterprise E)), Lieutenant Commander Jaza Najem (Bajoran, Senieor Science Officer), Cadet Zurin Dakal (Cardassian, Cadet/ Ops Officer in Training), Cadet Orilly Malar (Irriol, Exobiologist), Lieutenant Melora Pazlar (Elaysian, Stellar Cartographer, She was from the DS9 eps. Melora), Cadet Torvig Bu-Kar-Nguv (A Choblik, Engineer), Crewman K'Chak'i'op (A Pak'shree, Computer Specialist), Lieutenant Sariel Rager (Senior Ops Officer, Former con officer of the Enterprise D), Dr Bralik (A Ferengi Female, Geologist), Ensign Aili Lavena (Marine Humanoid from Pacifica, Flight Controller), Chief Axel Bolaji (Australian Aborigine male, Flight contoler), And rounding it all out Ensign Olivia Lambert Bolaji (African Female, Married to Chief Bolaji, Shuttle Pilot).
The plans they have right now is to have the above only as a book series, and in a few years they may make the above into an actual tv series.
From what i read in the mag it probaly wont be before 2008, but will be defanately before 2010.
The mission of the titan is supposed to start with helping out the romulans after the disaster of the last movie, then shortly after (they will pick up tuvok on romulan btw, he was on a covert mission there ). They will help restore order to the RSE, then shortly after the titan will travel through eather romulan or klingon space to unexplored parts of the beta quadrent.
The crew compliment is 350, however less then 15% of the crew will be humanoids. Unlike recent star fleet designs, the titan will be designed for exploration, and only minor combat. It will be a mid sized star fleet vessel, being slightly larger then the voyager, but smaller then the enterprise c.
The titan is a luna class starship.
Oh, for a time scale, the start of the titan is set 4 years after the end of the dominion war.

Yeah there was - Rigel posted a link to it somewhere a while back.
The competition is only open to people in the USA and Canada though, (Excluding Quebec) and is open until 11:59pm Eastern Time on August 15.
Here's the link again:
http://www.simonsays.com/content/feature.cfm?sid=44&feature_id=2893
Oh, and you're right Fox - it isn't less than 15% Humanoids, it's less than 15% Humans!
The USS Titan is the first Starfleet ship to have such a low Human complement, and it was made this way on purpose, to try and promote ties between the different races, and show the Federation as more multi-cultural - which would work well for the Titan's mission in the Beta Quadrant.
It will be great as a series - if it makes it that far.

Heh, i noticed something funny about rikers titan crew.
A majority of his crew are from picards crew.
Me thinks he was plotting this all along. No wonder he kept refusing promotions, he was seting it all up to steal as much crew as posible from the old man when he left
