I hope Gin isn't killed. There is the issue of still being the other girl because of the stones. The other possibility here is that creepy guy doesn't "get it" (the stone switch) and tells the other girl (not Gin) about plans to take over the ship and she warns the Destiny crew.

The last guy living didn't actually die before rescue. He's going to remain with Destiny. Also the Keno Footage was left on the shuttle by the Ancient. They wanted the Destiny group to know.

My guess is that it's not just an Ancient but an Ascended Ancient with an agenda. However, this begs a question:
What is their agenda? Is this message (and Destiny) a test to prove that humanity can face whatever is out there? (I mean a test a-la Q from the TNG. The similarity: Ascended Ancient vs Q is definitely compelling.).

This whole thing with her "illness" etc is getting tiresome. I hope they finish this story arch soon.

You've got to admit, that previous human to alien transformations in one 45 min viewing time of an episode (and back) is scientifically hard to believe. Of course they are painting this as Chloe becoming a different person once she's an alien. It may turn out that she is still Chloe in alien form and she won't be dangerous. Maybe the experience will give her a new appreciation for Eli.

I was actually expecting the shuttle itself to fall apart just like the people did. Perhaps it still will. Shame it wasn't Destiny itself that became brand spanking new though!

But why? Why go to the trouble of resurrecting them? And why just let them go through death again? And was their deaths due to them remembering what happened? Or were they supposed to have expiry times? And were they actually the people that died on the planet, or some kind of clones?

Agree, that was a brilliant piece of character building. But something tells me that now he has Chloe's forgiveness, it's actually going to be Scott or someone else who will do the actually killing...assuming someone actually does, of course. They may decide to keep her around in the end, be it through choice, or some future forced situation.

Yeah, Rush has lost Gloria, Eli has lost Ginn and almost lost his mother, Scott is losing Chloe, Chloe is losing herself and lost her father, TJ lost her baby, Lt. James almost got blown up, Camile has sort-of lost Sharon, Riley died...who's next?! Lol

I refer back to my Asgard comment. Perhaps the Asgard are another option? We know they survived in the Pegasus Galaxy, so perhaps there are more of them out there. Still, Destiny is a long way away, even for the Asgard.

I like Chloe and I don't want her to leave/die/whatever. But at the same time I agree. I Want to know what's going to happen to her. And as my previous comment about Chloe, her transformation could potentially force them to keep her around, be it through acceptance or some future event requiring her to be around. She can read and understand Ancient now afterall, and who knows what other knowledge she may gain about the aliens?

Yes it's hard to believe, but a 45 min ep doesn't mean 45 mins passes in the episode itself. An episode could span entire years if the writers wanted it to. I could certainly see Eli growing closer to her again over time without Ginn being around though.

The Ascended Ancients went to a higher plane of existence. Some abused that power and took control of entire Galaxies though, becoming the Ori. The Ancients that remain and help the lesser beings do so in violation of the rules of Ascension. Technically, allowing the Kino to record the transport is in violation of that rule, but it's entirely possible that it was an Ancient. But I still think the sound effect was Asgardy.

There is indeed some "Asgardy" quality to the whole effect, but then the plausibility of the whole thing goes down, ie there are far too many unanswered questions. Of course this could still be a simulation ran by Destiny and the crew has not realized it yet, but lets hope it's not, as it would be way too lame...

Two of the upcoming episodes are called "Twin Destinies" and "Alliances", for which I can see the following 3 possibilities: i) Telford is coming back and the aliens are friendly after all, ii) Another (3rd?) Destiny-class ship will be found (maybe populated by Asgard, thus resolving the whole thing?), iii) Telford is coming back and the aliens are an early form of the Asgard (before they start suffering from the genetic degeneracy due to cloning; anyway I remember there was *some* similarity). I give it 75% for scenario (i) , 20% for (ii) and 5% for (iii).

Unfortunately, it is just some debate about if they should take a detour or not.

I personally wish they'd stop torturing the destiny crew too. Think its about time they had some major breakthroughs that helped with day to day things -with the exception of the Ancient key that opended up the controls of course.

I'm glad they got rid of the crew that thought God had brought them back. I really couldn't cope with a story line like that again. Hated it in Battlestar Galactica .

I thought that Ancient shields (even the earlier types like in Destiny) are impenetrable for as long they had energy, but even early on in the battle there were explosions inside Destiny. This clearly means that part of the energy of the blast went through the shields and onto the hull. This spoils the canon a bit but I guess it adds a more dramatic effect a la Star Trek (crew getting injured and tossed around, panels exploding etc).

I can't believe that the bad guys fell for the oldest trick in the book, ie "my ship has better shields than yours, so I dive in the star and you get destroyed". Poor bastards, they are definitely not going to achieve world domination

I am not convinced that his alien friends the "Ursini" betrayed them, as they were also fired upon by the drones. One possibility is of course that they were themselves betrayed by the drone leader, but I guess we will soon find out.

The story arc seems to be reaching an end soon. Also, my guess is that Chloe just saved their asses again by whatever she did on the terminal (bypassed disabled systems?), as they had no other way out of the mess.

I liked the moment when he tried to console Eli about losing Ginn etc. Of course, he didn't say the right things but at least he tried and he seemed to genuinely care. This also provided an insight on how he handles losing loved ones.

She's developing superhuman abilities. Still not working against the Destiny crew. Maybe she will be like the Summer Glau Charater on Firefly.

Already over the loss of his girl. At least he got his pound of flesh.

Could it finally be that she's succumbed to the control of the aliens? She said it was too late, but too late for what? Too late to stop her from doing whatever she did? Was she trying to destroy the ship? Take control of it? Signal to the aliens the location of Destiny? Some other nefarious plan that only her super-brain understands?

She's gotten stronger, and whilst she avoided trying to hurt anyone, she did knock out the guard. And she's only part way through the transformation. Forgetting her mind for the moment, she could become a threat just by being physically powerful. Not to mention her healing ability. I certainly think something is going to happen soon with Chloe, be it good or bad. The idea of her being a Summer Glau would be a brilliant though. Matress loved Firefly.

Yes, Rush failed in trying to console Eli, but I think the way he did it was really well written and acted. The things Rush said were clearly based on his own experiences, rather than him trying to muddle through with niceties like "it'll get better". And he showed just how respectful of Eli he is too. He's probably the only other person on the ship (Other than super-Chloe) that understands half the physics behind the ships' systems, even if he doesn't like it.

Remember they weren't "guys" but automated drones. But flying though the sun did them in. I kept wondering why the crew was worried about them coming around the sun. Perhaps they didn't realize what happened to them.

Yes, the ships were drones, but if I remember correctly they were supposed to be controlled by a command ship. Therefore, the destruction was either a fault in their AI if they were 100% automated or a fault of the bad guys who were remotely controlling them. I think that in either case, my statement that the bad guys won't rule the world, still stands

Indeed, being brainwashed by the aliens is a possibility, but it is also very predictable. I hope that the writers will come up with something smarter...
